Whether I saw it or not was not the point. Yeah, getting Larry Brown isn't moving towards a championship, good point

whether you saw 1 or not IS the freakin point...don't go harping on the team's past success that you probably weren't even born to celebrate & go trashtalking on other teams who've had much better success in recent times cuz you sound stupid...but if you think getting Larry Brown is all it's going to take to get this team to a championship, maybe you just can't help it.

who said thats all its going to take. Its a step in the right direction, which you said you saw none of.

We were talking about how organizations were run--dj was bragging about the Nets who have never won a championship. I never even brought the Knicks into the discussion. Thanks for your thoughtful input though.

i'm not bragging b/c i'm not a nets fan. but thorn built the team that went to two straight NBA finals. not everyone can win it but getting to it still means you're doing a good f'n job.

the eastern conference also was considered pretty pathetic in those years the nets made it to the finals.

Isiah trying to deal for Abdur-Rahim is irrelevant; as long as the Nets ended up with egg on thier face and no Shareef, I'm all smiles.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I still don't understand the way some Knicks fans seem to be stuck in the past with this team. Can we not see some positive things taking place with this team? NJ had a good 2 years, we had a great run not too long ago too, with a couple of Finals appearances, so whats the big deal. Its about winning a title, not just getting there. We've been there and done that.

The thing is its EXTREMELY hard to put together a championship team and even harder starting with what this regime started with. But its only been less than 2 years and already we have a new roster, young talented players and a top Coach. Heck man that ain't bad. I'm 40 yrs old and remember the joy of Knicks fans over the last title, even if I was too young to really appreciate it.

I think the Nets blew their chance to contend for the East Title with letting SAR go. They had him and should have taken a chance. Now i'm not so sure they can seriously stand up to the top teams in the East with no inside game to speak of. This Knicks team that TMS thinks is no good, has FAR more balance in its attack than NJ. We have players who can post up effectively, we have size, speed, length and depth. I don't think NJ can claim to really be better anymore. We'll see how Kidd, VC & RJ do, but i'm not convinced.

I'll take the Kidd/VC/RJ Combo over Knicks team anyday. I don't care about Depth with 4 undersized PF's. Top players win games. And IMO NJ has top 3 players. And 2 best young players (Krstic,Wright)

I agree with you both, SAR could have really put them into the elite.

Also, the nets as presently constructed are better than our knicks, theres no doubt about that.

For a low price via sign and trade, there's nothing not to want about Shareef. He has flaws but he has many strengths too. At the very least, he'd be a nice combo forward off the bench. On our roster, he'd be good enough to start at either forward position (although SF would make more sense).
This is also a very good point, although some people just lobve to hate the guys they love to hate.
