lighten up guys. A few of us were just giving briggs a hard time because he can annoy many of us at times with wild speculation and pessimism. I'm sorry if I offended you Briggs or anyone else.
No sim, I don't claim to always be right. I've admitted many mistaken opinions I've formed already. I don't jump to wild speculations like Briggs does, but if he enjoys doing that, so be it.
I appreciate the advice on women Nalod even though I don't need it as my relationship with my girlfriend is very good.

Best case scenario for him would be 8pts 4rbds 2asts 1stl in 25 mints of action of the bench. And thats pushing it, at least in my opinion.
That wouldnt be bad. I really dont want to go off on his stats but if he can consistently get 25 mins a game, I will be very happy. I think all he needs is playing time.

It is amazing how some will bend over backwords to insulate BRIGGS from any criticism!!!!!!!!!

We are having fun with him.

He said it wasn't there and he said it with conviction. Are we not allowed to poke a little fun at him for being wrong about that after he said it so strongly?

He also said SAR to the Nets was a done deal, which it obviously is not and was not ever. Can't we make fun of him for that as well? Its all in good humor, I think. Nothing malicous at all. When I make a strong statement about something and I am proven wrong, I man up, and if my boys wanna clown me for that, I have to deal with it. When did BRIGGS become immune to that?

He has a cult of about six followers who will not tolerate anything remotely negative even if it's just playful. Just get used to it.

Please, the way Nalod hammers on Bonn would have gotten him banned a long time ago on a more vigilant forum. If Briggs wants to make strong claims on weak evidence, and then parade around those inordinately strong and weakly supported claims as The Truth (with an attitude no less!), then frankly, he deserves every last bit of crow he has coming to him. Ain't nobody above the law. Let's bring some balance back to the force.

Bro why are you such a diick about gettin people banned, you arent the moderator, so shove it.

You don't like the forum don't come here.

Bonn is being an ass like he is about 90% of the time.

BRIGGS thought the Areanas rule was out because ESPN left it out. ESPN was wrong. You want to go flame ESPN?

Why not starta a petition to have the guy who missed at ESPN fired, woldnt that make all the sene in the world, "nobody is above the law" as you say apparently.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I usually don't have time to respond to his stuff anyway now that I'm teaching and working on my dissertation. Occasionally like today I do. Maybe he would have been banned elsewhere, but I know he doesn't have bad intentions; so it doesn't bother me.

Because apparently the moderators are benignly overlooking one of the forum rules:

While healthy debate and discussion is fine, please refrain from rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. If it's severe enough you will lose your account privileges.

I don't know what someone would call Nalod's gay robot schtick if not a rude, insulting personal attack that is needlessly inflammatory. I don't care if someone tries to play it off like it's all in good fun, it goes against the forum rules and it goes against my sense of justice, sorry. I don't like to see people getting picked on while everyone else (including the mods) just overlooks it or even approves. Especially not when it's deemed OK to harp on personal attacks on one member, and then when it's not deemd OK to criticize another one for something he actually deserves criticism for. That just ain't fair, and someone needs to call it out like it is. If the mods won't do it, I guess it's gotta be me.
You don't like the forum don't come here.

You know, I haven't been as much as I used to.
BRIGGS thought the Areanas rule was out because ESPN left it out. ESPN was wrong. You want to go flame ESPN?

LOL, no my friend. This might be a stretch, but let's use some logic. ESPN left out the rule, but nowhere did they say that it wasn't in effect, or that the rules they did list were complete. ESPN isn't at fault here at all-- there is simply no way someone could have read that article and concluded with confidence that the Arenas rule was out. It was Briggs who took a specious bit of logic and ran with it. His logic was clearly flawed at the time, but that didn't stop him from parading it around like the truth. There's nothing wrong with being wrong from time to time, but if you go around making strong claims on weak evidence with an attitude, then there is something wrong. Hey, he can do that if he likes-- no forum rules against it-- but he has to face the consequences. In this case, he eats his crow with a light french salad dressing and a side of fries. He gets what he had coming to him, and that's that, and everyone can just move on from there.

this whole thing is pretty ridiculous. Briggs is right more than he's wrong, sometimes the pessimist in him wants to believe the Knicks are screwed (he's usually right about that...). I dunno. I don't mind his attitude. Some of the other attitudes on this board have made it hard to keep coming here lately. of course, we're probably all just Bored. Out. Of. Our. Minds.

There is a difference between thinking you're right and calling people out.

Briggs called out all the people who think the Arenas rule was in their and said they were dreaming (or something like that). Everytime an article was written and it left out the Arenas rule Briggs posted it here and rubbed it in and called out the people who 'still think it's there'. Briggs brought it up plenty of times when he thought an article proved his point.

So what's wrong with calling him out now that the people he called out were right?

I'm starting to think some of you guys have a nonsexual crush on Briggs. Relax!

man we are bored.

Bonn, someone got your back! Cool!

TomVerve, we like 7th graders at times, the banter, diatribe, what ever is an art un-to-itself.

Bonn loves to get all over briggs, briggs takes it all too seriously, , marv is like our funny cousin, Hardcore is our mr. T, and I am severly obnoxious.

Pictures of a dude dancing with a plastic doll is funny!

Bonn getting anal on Briggs comments is funny!

Non Porn Jessica pictures are funny.

This is funny: http://home.globalcrossing.net/~variable/gayrobot.html

My kids now use the term "don't be such a gay robot"! THey see starwars c3po and laugh now! My Gay Step sister and gay next door neighbors think its funny.

No vulgar terms are used, if you jump on someones case, have a funny take and be creative and its apprciated, if its just straight up rude, it gets stopped. When Andrew locks it down, or says "chil" we chill!

As bonn said, its all fun. If I see this dude we gonna shake hands and I'll buy him a beer. If he doesn't beat the dickens out of me.

We all love the knicks, even the haters love the knicks!

Now Im sorry if the term "Gay Robot" offends you, its not a sexual orientation thing! One can be a "Gay Robot" and be of any sexual orientation!

I just laugh when I see people get offended when they get called stuff likes "Snits" and "Gay Robots" on a message board, and they think it's terribly rude. It either makes me think that they are 12 years old and can't take any sort of teasing whatsoever, or they are just overly sensitive and didn't get enough hugs as a kid. I wont mention any names. So which one is it Bonn?
