Well I did watch every game last year and I can tell you that some guys did put out an effort to try and get better. If you saw TT play then you'd understand the reason for giving him anotther shot. Herb did a great job in involving him early and posting him up. This led to TT getting high % shots and gaining confidence on his outside shots. TT actually played some D too. I'm not saying that he's a lock to be a success this year. but it is a contract year and I think he'll be on his best behavior. Overall, tho the team didn't win a lot they did play better under Herb Defensively. JC was impressive as a passer and floor leader. He grew a lot last year and I think he'll be ready this year to do it more consistently. He's been working on his body and his game from what I hear.

Granted, I didn't watch EVERY Knick game last year, but that was b/c they sucked horribly and I didn't have a TV in my dorm past January.

Point is, Crawford WOULD be best playing point and distributing. But I just don't see him doing it CONSISTENTLY. He's star-struck. He's like Al Harrington. With all that offensive talent, why curtail it with less minutes under Larry Brown when you could be traded to Portland or Atlanta and get your own gig, no strings attached.

For ALL of you that are banking on Tim Thomas................

shame on you. I thought Knick fans on a Knick board would be more savvy than that. Let's blame Timmy's shortcomings on the death of his sister or whatever, and instead ignore the fact that he's played this way HIS ENTIRE CAREER! How can you overlook that? Let sleeping dogs lie.

there is no evidence that we can get anything consistent out of tim thomas. he's the worst player to have b/c you just can not rely on him. one game good, one game bad - just too inconsistent for us. i can't believe he's only 28. the WORST thing that can happen is us re-signing him next summer. i think he's single handedly responsible for us not being 19-10 instead of 16-13 to end 04.

all there is for us is hope that he plays somewhat decent so we can trade him or he can help us this season. and that's all it is - hope. and in no way shape or form should he be wearing a knicks uniform come summer of 06.
