Here is a question that I have for you all, how much money will the Knicks save if they release:

Mo T.: $19 millions
Penny: $16 millions
Anderson: $15 millions
Houston: $40 Millions

Last time I checked, we are due to pay $1 for every dollar that we are over the cap. Releasing Houston is a no brainer, what's the wait???

they could cut mo, which is $9 mill a year for 2 years.

the only thing about cutting mo is that then isiah just WASTED $10 mil on him for 06/07. remember, we moved TWO EXPIRING DEALS THIS YEAR and a PICK for him. (makes me shiver everytime i think about it)

Cutting Mo is not a good move, because Mo can still play the game of basketball. Now Anderson, Penny and Houston are worthless to the Knicks currently, why not cut the one that will save us the most money?

they are no doubt waiting for some decision on whether or not Houston will retire. If he does we would save on the luxury tax as well as insurance money and the cap figure for next year. My guess is Houston's MO is to do everything he can to get back onto the court. We will see in a day

Houston would be smart to declare his retirement for next season and unretire if the Knicks make the playoffs. If he retires, he would save the Knicks a hell of a lot of money, because we could use the amnesty to cut someone else that we dont need.

Tell me this, if Houston retires, are we obligated to pay is salary??

Can someone please explain how Shandon Anderson contract still affects us?

I thought the Knicks bought his contract....which to me meant that they basically gave him one lump sum of money to get rid of him...

He would retire due to injury, on the cap, 80% insurance payment!

Shandon still on the books, we pay tax on Waivered players.

This the reason for this amnesty deal, one time, one player for it to just not be on the books for tax purpose.

Thanks Ralow!

I forgot the mooch!

Dido, Where are you?

oh, I'd waive Allan providing what I know to be true is he can play, but we have moved on.

If he can't go, he should retire! But we still waive him off the books. He represents the biggest savings!

Shandon anderson would get minutes with Larry Brown aas coach!
