why do you insist on lunging at every post with a callous disregard for other posters here? You are obviously someone who has posted here before, who? I dont give a flying fudge, but this incessant, antagonistic candor is boring. You seek attention, my advice, buy a gerbal.

Why are you so eager to trade Marbury? How do you consider having Crawford as the starting PG over Steph? All the way across his stats are lower than Marbury's, yet you want to make him the man. Crawford didn't make this team any better either, yet you still blame Marbury. I don't understand putting the blame on one player. by doing that, you're giving everyone else on the team free passes. Again, the Knicks had a horrible season. That notwithstanding, the team lost a majority of their games to a lack of defense and rebounding. Mostly do to the lack of D, meaning when they needed most to make a stop, they could never get it done.

This is not about Marbury, it's about the NY Knicks. I don't blame Marbury for anything, I never have. What is there to blame, that makes no sense. I think if it is possible to get involved in this transaction bringing Joe Johnson here and Marbury to Atlanta, IF the Atlanat owner was seeking a bigger name, a guy who brings a brand name who can run the show and sell tickets, than maybe he would be interested in Marbury. I believe putting Crawford at 1 and Johnson at 2 is superior to ANYTHINg we have now. All this stuff about Marbury, I dont care. What I do care about is continually making the Knicks BETTER. Im not aying trade Marbury for a cheeseburger and a 2nd round pick, Im saying lets see if we can get in on a 6-7 230 pound sharp shooting athletic 2G who is turning into a superstar at 24. I think we can build the franchise around the wings if we could ever pull it off.

Joe Johnson. Young unselfish 2guard who plays defense, and plays real well in the playoffs and basically does everything.

Stephon Marbury. Guy works his ars off on the offense, but his defense, age and future health are in question.

I would do this trade, also b/c I like the idea of having the big talented backcourt, that I think larry Brown would love to have. It would make us a better overall team in the long run. It may hurt a little immediately, but eventually, we become better.

Now that we have Larry, I'd do this trade. If Herb was the head coach, i'd be very hesitent to make Craw our starting PG.

JJ's high FG&3pt %, his athleticism, age, excellent handle and passing skills wold be great asset for this team. ESPECIALLY since we have Larry to coach him and turn him into a TRUE SUPERSTAR PLAYER who makes others on the team better. I don't think he's known for his defense but with his athleticism and Larry's coaching, he could become a very good defender as well.

We may suck for a yr with Craw running the point, but we suck anyways.

Crawford(25)/Nate(21)
Joe Johnson(24)/Ariza(20)
TThomas/Q-Rich(25)/Lee(22)
Sweetney(23)/JYD/Taylor
James/Frye(22)/Rose/Butler(20)

This is a young team with great future. If we can add a true C in the next 2 yrs, this team could make some serious noise.

If Joe Johnson wasnt in the long line of players who hated playing with Stephon, Id say trade Q Rich and M Rose for JJ. But alas JJ, along with KG, Shawn Marion, Amare, Tom Gugliotta, KVH, and many others who didnt like playing with Starbury. But who cares Stephon is still my favorite NBAer so screw them.

Johnson played on a week defensive squad.

Johnson performs well in the playoffs? The man was injured for the most part.

Lastly, MARBURY'S AGE IS IN QUESTION???? HUH?? Since when is a point guard (who is in his 20's) age become a problem? Nash is years older than Marbury and he just got his first MVP. Marbury isn't even 30 yet. Hell, he's not even 29.

Things spread on boards like a cancer. One person says it and then it spreads. But was never true to begin with.

something people havent seemed to discuss...

Why not try to keep Marbury and move other guys? Something like Crawford, JYD and both picks next year for JJ to Atlanta? Look at what Atlanta is sending back... to me that doesnt = Marbury. I think Marbury for JJ is overpaying. Just my opinion.

Bob... how does you team win 33 games and you NOT complain? We suck. I like the moves so far but Frye and Q arent saving the franchise.

Great points. Plus Joe Johnson is unselfish? He is leaving the team with the best record on a squad with 3 all-stars, because he doesn't wanna be the 4th option!!!

Marbs continuously gets blasted for leaving KG, this guy forced a trade away from the MVP, the future MVP and another all-star to play on the worst franchise maybe in all of sports. Yet he is unselfish. Its funny some players can do and say anythigng, and for others, everything is in question.

Honestly, I know threads don't just get locked, which is cool with me. You can squash massive doses of Kool-Aid by talking instead of ignoring, but this is just getting ridiculous.

If anyone on this board is tentative about the team we got out there as of right now, it's me. I don't think there's any debating that. If I was running the team, I would've traded Marbury a long time ago. But this is just pathetic. How can some of you say you're actually Knick fans. Sure, part of being a Knick fan is more about the city than it's players, but it's like you're playing Musical Chairs with the roster every ****in week. Are you ever 1/3 content with what's going on.

See, what I've noticed is that either you're too content with what we have (RVHoss), or you want a different player here every week (Killa). When does it stop? When is enough enough? Can't we just take it in strides, or at the very ****in least be rational and realistic about the players we're talking about?

JOE FUCKIN JOHNSON? won't be a Knick, wake up. RON ARTEST? Nope, how can you even think that? Who's next......SHAQ????

And you thought RealGM was bad. Shame on you guys.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Here is something I haven't seen really discuss at all. Why do you think JJ wants to New York? I know as New YOrkers we find it unreasonable that people would not want to come to NY but there are some people who don't. Listening to JJ, he said he was eager to return to the south, especially Atlanta.

I would not do Marbury for JJ. On face value, it looks fine because JJ is 24 and it buys us time to put together a finished team. But, he's cashing in at 15 mil/yr which, although he may be worth at market value, would take away from 2007, 2008, 2009 spending cash. If the choice are limited to keep Marbury or trade him for JJ, I'd trade him. But, if I can trade Marbury for 2007 picks and a prospect, I'd do that before either of the above options.

factually incorrect.
Marbury's had a total of zero knee surgeries. He had ankle surgery 2 years ago, which he's fully recovered from.

Are you guys SERIOUSLY arguing about Joe Johnson?

What about NO HE'S NOT COMING TO NY don't you understand? I'm not being rude, or obnoxious, or whatever you think I'm being, I'm being the voice of reason here. You know what, I bet some of you would have been all for trading Patrick Ewing......IN HIS PRIME.

Bob, you do realize that the very purpose of forums like this is to discuss just about anything Knicks, right? Even if it won't come true?

Shaq was traded, so anything is ALMOST possible.
