The

at the end was just pointless.
As far as your "trade" goes, is it fair talent-wise? Ehh, not quite. Indiana gets quantity, but doesn't make up the loss of quality.
Strictly talent-wise, they could get a far better deal.
When you take into account how unrealistic it is though, does it even matter if it's fair or not? Some of you really like to argue that there's no way to predict or rationalize anything. What are you - a bunch of lawyers?
OF COURSE you can predict and rationalize things. Just b/c Shaq got traded doesn't mean KG will. It always depends on the circumstances. The quality of the player has nothing to do with it.
Without Artest, the Pacers don't have a chance. But if for some unforseen reason they do trade him, Crawford, Sweetney, and the rest of that crap-ackage wouldn't make up for his loss, not one bit. If you're trading Artest, it's for a player of equal talent or not at all. And you better have a good reason for doing it in the first place. The fact that the Pacers have verbally expressed their desire to stick by Ron and even gave him the green light to play in the SL says to me that he's not going anywhere.
But I guess you're right - dreaming is fun, and anything and everything is possible.
HEY....ANYONE UP FOR PENNY FOR GASOL? Oh.....wait, Isiah already tried that one.
Shoot.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure.
And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
