Im sorry. I dont feel good doing this, and im not normally an angry man. But ive been here a long time. Ive seen Playa come and go and come back. We have people here with attitude, people who like to preach, people who like to be logical and people who like to make prophetic prediction. But Ive never EVER gotten as upset as I get when I read this guys posts. He just sounds to me like a horrible person, always looking to put people down, always trying to be superior and always, ALWAYS the damm insults! This forum is a major part of my life (sad huh?), and I feel that its being ruined by a sad bitter man. I feel like I can state my opinion in this forum, and I hope the mods dont delete this thread, because Im not doing it to be an axhole, I just think that this guy is ruining a good thing, and if theres anything I can do to stop it, I will. I will be voting to ban him, because I think this forum is better then people like him.

I voted let him stay. He needs to get a grip and realize that everyone has different opinions. I am sure everyone here gets tested sometimes, but you have to realize that being a jerk isn't going to cut it. But I say let him stay b/c he seems to know some bball and has some good points. If he tones down, he might actually be a good guy to post with.

bobs, i think the message to you is no one has a problem with your being realistic. some do, however, have a problem with your insults in driving home your comments. what would be so wrong with rereading your posts and deleting the insults before you post? that way everybody wins.

I know at 19 you have seen so much and have such a great reposit to draw on for your great opinions.

Like I said once, if something strikes you as utterly retarded dont respond. Your not obligated to respond to every post or thread. If you think someone is as stupid as you make them out to be why waste your time debating with them?

oh, and just for the record, I've always admitted when I'm wrong. i value others' opinions just as much as mine. but if you're flat out wrong, and i call you on it, don't act like a baby.

whenever you guys have called me out, if it's reasonable, I've completely agreed.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

it's actually babyish to have to use personal insults in an argument if you think someone's wrong. it's more stand-up to take on their points and offer some proof of you're being right. if they can't handle it, then just let it go.

i am going to apply bobs' crawford argument here:

bobs is a "post-chucker". his GP% (good post percentage) is around 35%. let's face it guys, he'll never get it. he's been posting on realgm and now here for months on end. he has some skills but with islesfan here, he's redundant. so one of them will have to go. and a 35 GP% is just not efficient enough to hang around especially since his GRP% (good RESPONSE post percentage) is even lower. he has the tools to increase his GRP% but being around here for 900+ posts, well, he probably just won't get it. he's not an Andrew&Martin type of poster.

with that said, djsunyc says keep him around for another 200 posts b/c anybody can change. if it doesn't happen by then, then trade his ass for a mustaafab and a jerome from the bronx.

I think you're as much of an "ass" as I am for even making this poll.

Seriously man. If I get booted, I get booted. It's happened before, it'll happen again. I usually get too emphatic when I have an opinion, but atleast I'm a realistic fan, which is more than I can say about alot of you.

Listen man, Im just another fan. I love my Knicks, and I spend a lot of time rooting for them and checking for them. Ive been around this forum for many years now, and Ive seen all the other forums around too. This is by far and away, the most proffesional, well run and well balanced Knicks forum on the web today. We all argue in here. We all have fights once in a while. But we're all here for the same reason. We all want to take time out of our busy schedules and spend some time hoping that our team can be the best. Were all here to discuss, schmooze, offer silly trade proposals and generally chill with other people who love those Knicks. Im not a guy who gets angry easily, check every one of my posts since I got here, you'll see. But your behaviour since you got here has been appalling.

Maybe if you realized that this forum is not filled with fools, children(mostly - sorry MarBuryIsAknICk) and maniacs, you might be different. Most guys here are working folk with a brain who love the Knicks. But your treating this forum like another Realgm, and thats not what we are. When you realize that, then you might treat us like that.

P.S. Im not into sermonizing either, so, sorry.

Exactly what is a "personal" insult?

Like if I said your posts are so bad, you must have crabs, and you really did get crabs from that hooker on 10th street, would that constitute a personal insult?

or is me saying, "Wow, that's pretty off guy. Here's what I think" a personal insult?

All this blickering reminds me of the time when me and the gang had to ban Russell from the clubhouse because he was always putting Rudy down. Talking about no class and all that other jive. I told him you're a big fool if you think that's cool. But is all cool now! Hey..Hey..Hey!

maybe I'm just too stupid to know what "personal" means.

edit: Ohhhh. I get it. It's b/c I'm a rude SOB.

K, got it now.

It's Jerome from Manhatten and supposedly he's been sick. On a sidenote though, Musta posts proudly at MSG still, and I recently got banned from there.

No, that would just be funny. But something like,

You're not too bright if you think Minny takes that just b/c it works cap-wise (which it probably doesn't - I saw Taylor in there and stopped reading)

is dismissive, highbrow and yes, rude. Treating people like children because you dont agree with them is not alright.

I voted for him to stay. No offense to the offended, but I say that in light of others recommend that one just tone it down.

Or, be creative about it.

I myself can be utterly obnoxious. And I can get called out on it, to which I tone it down. Last week Some one told me I went a bit too far, and rather than spit back, I realized I likey did. It was respectful to me, and likewise I was back.

We have dudes that get snitty, and we call them out. Gay Robot types also get called out.

Today a few of us started preaching to each other. It was fun, and pretty harmless. No real flinging of the poo! We ain't primates !

Bottom line is calling people insulting names is really not much fun for the rest of us and dilutes any message. you lose cred by doing so. ONe can also give props to good points. Being generous goes a long way.

Bobs, maybe consider the above? Might help. This place can be alot of fun!

it's like this stuff from this morning:

^ You're not too bright if you think Minny takes that just b/c it works cap-wise (which it probably doesn't - I saw Taylor in there and stopped reading)

"you're not too bright" is a personal insult. instead, just say why you believe your view rather than his.
