I mean if Dolan can afford to throw away 40 million, if its even an OPTION, than who cares about the salary cap or what taxes the Knicks have to pay. Thats their problem, doesnt affect us in any way, it still will count against the salary cap.

we don't exactly cut the contract, we cut the player. we already cut shandon.(thank god!)

Actually I read Toronto is doing this with Alonzo Mourning's contract. So it is doable. To just cut the contract.
