The real question is who finishes the game playing the hardnose defense that Larry Brown likes.. Knicks have too many offensive - minded players on the team.. Larry Brown isn't concern on the scorers, he's concern with the defense and he likes to have ballplayers that can rebound the ball.

Q happen to be one of those players @ the guard position..

Maybe he starts off Marbury @ the 2 and crawford @ the one to start the game but logging the majority of minutes will be Q and Marbury..

MAybe TT suffers from all this and doesn't play that much..

Maybe Crawford and marbury becomes the backcourt with Q playing the 3.. that's a possibly..

I agree it does matter who finishes the game, however I think that Brown is just going to surround Jamal and Marbury with defensive players. I have no problem with Q ending the game if he is doing better than Jamal.

As far as TT, remember he already played for Brown, so Larry will expect alot from TT. I would not be surprise if we see him playing better d and being our main postup guy. If not, you will reall see TT being traded.

I didn't think TT would benefit under Larry Brown especially since he was throwned into Brown's doghouse from the philly days.. Brown had him shipped to milwaukee..

You may be right with TT under Brown 7 yrs later.. We've witness TT killing his opponents with his post-up moves last season. TT @ the SF positon doesn't rebound. We'll just have to see.

Brown will give Crawford a defined role. Have him pass the ball to initiate the offense. My homer brain tells me that with this discipline he and Steph will find chemistry.

the backcourt is the least of our worries its actually our strength however the rotation shapes up. Now the frontcourt is a huge question mark. Will Sweetney be the guy who provides us with inside scoring and tough defense & rebounding as a starter? we can be exciting with a good backcourt and coaching and make the playoffs but how the frontcourt shapes up as is or after trades will determine how far we get. I'm sick of mediocrity

My only hope on that count is Frye.

I'm kinda hopin we'll at least get to mediocrity first year into the program. I think we will, but it will take chaning the roster to get to true contention. I'm sure Brown will force IT to make the right moves.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
