Either way, the way I see it, use that LLE to extend Ariza TODAY! It is so much better to be safe than sorry, and I'm sure he's a better option than any other free agent anyway. Please Knicks, don't get stupid on me. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

this is from a month and a half ago! i told you the problem they were having ratifying the CBA
was the division between the owners on the amnesty and gilbert arenas rule. Mark Cuban said it. Obviously they came to agreement on the amnesty

and scrapped the arenas. Think logically, why would they NOt announce something so big as arenas, yet tell you you can put a player in the nbdl?

logically, it's exclusion from news services that have a history of being sloppy does not mean it doesn't exist. The NBA has left that article with Stern and Hunter LINKED to the announcement that they ratified it. You would think they would mention it had been bargained out. logically, the fact that they DON'T mention that it's been bargained out, to me, means it stayed in.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Core: Thats salary cap stuff. I was wondering if the Arenas rule is really out so I am kinda looking for the real meat of the new CBA. Any idea where I can find that?

The NBA is not going to post their CBA online. It's a legal document. Don't waste your time looking... or go right ahead, but it's a waste.

Are you serious? Do you really think I am asking for the "legal documents?" Maybe I am just asking for whats in the CBA. I dont want the header and the signature, just the meat.

New amnesty deadline is aug 15

for those who think there is a gilbert arenas rule, that's cool but there is none.

ariza is NOT likely to get more than an MLE, but like Bobby Simmons this year, hey you never know. I wouldnt be worried about it. riza's a good player, but the posibility of him getting a contract even 10% over the mLE is NOT likely--he is more likely to get a long term 5 yr 15 mm$ deal with the 5 yr a team opt in--something like that. The Knicks can offer that extension at anytime. He cant sign an LLE this year because he already has a contract. If I was his agent, I would just tell him to play hard and dont wory about it.

so, you just want a complete outline of the legal document? good luck with that, man.

That site just breaks down the CBA, and cap, I know. Awhile back it had an outline of the old CBA, so I'd guess they'll update it again in the same format.

I had a link where I downloaded the old CBA as a PDF... If I can locate it, I'll post it.

I thought we had a team option on him this season? Though I'm not sure about it. If we do have it, we could always just not excercise it and use the LLE on him for 2 seasons if I'm correct. Of course, you have the risk of it being a Boozer situation making it a risk.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
