i don't intend on getting banned here.

but if i do, then ill officially stop moving from one knicks site to another. all that moving gives me jet lag...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Ive only known of one guy to get banned here (although I havent heard from Roblackman) and that was playa.

Then after like a year Martin polled us if he should be allowed to return. We said yes, playa was a bigger ass than before and promptly got himself yanked again.

I want a place where I can read good Knicks conversation. Sometimes the conversation strays, for better or worse. Poster who bring the quality down repeatedly get booted - simple as that. to be fair, we do give posters lots of chances to correct themselves. We do have an expectation level set, but really it's not that high a hurdle and there are enough good examples to understand the flow around here.

I can't believe that a poster would get banned from RealGM and be the contributor that bobs has been. Don't know if that's just bad mod'ing or what.

The Knick should be as bad off as the Yanks who are far from done.

it has nothing to do with the Knicks as they have not won 8 straight division titles, 4 world series and 6 pennants in the last 8 years.

They Yankees have had injuries, but reports of a bankrupt farmsystem are greatly overblown. They just had a great draft. They brought up 2 impact players already this year. Now Wong got hurt, but it doesnt mean he wont be back later this season or next year in force.

The Yankees "blueprint" has been to use $$$ to sustain a CHAMPIONSHIP caliber team.

If you want to equate the Yankees/Knicks you have to go back to when the Yanks were throwing money at overrated scrubs like Danny Tartabull.
Yankees play in a league where there is no salary cap. Stern had said this many times, if there was no salary cap in the NBA, Lakers and Knicks would be in the finals every year. As soon as MLB put in a salary cap, the Yankee "braintrust" will look down right stupid for some of there moves. Bob Watson's 96 run was the best because the payroll was very reasonable and acquire the right fix. The players that "Stick" had in place fit like a well oiled clog.

i disagree w/that fish...Tartabull was an allstar calibre player when the Yankees signed him...it's not their fault he didn't live up to his hype in pinstripes...some guys just don't have what it takes to succeed here...if you want to find a good example of the Yankees wasting money on overpaid scrubs, see Jeff Weaver & Javier Vazquez, both of whom came in w/career losing W-L records & ERA's in the 4's...they hadn't proven much except that they had some potential to be good...we all know how that turned out...Jose Contreras & Hideki Irabu were other examples of poor decisions based on hype alone.

^....b/c they don't like white people.

Its a interesting response. If things go unchecked, things get out of hand, and you can feel the racial bias thru the post.

I think by staying clear of the racial thing, we can pretty much all get along pretty good.

Even rodney king would get along here.

I remember the whole spree thing was very dividing along racial lines.

And trading him for a very white KVH was no help!

Yanks are having a bad year, only by their standars btw, meaning they are not playin well enough to look like they can win it all.

When such "bad year" will hold for the Knicks, let me know and we'll start comparing them to the Yanks.

Yankee fans are just so damn spoiled its incredible.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

The salary rules really are the only difference like you said. I think Layden could have easily accomplished a .550 to .600 winning percentage with zero championships over the past 5 years if there were no salary cap and no max salary. He'd just offer the top FAs more money than any other team, and enough of them would take the offer.
