sign him then Teslawlo
All that I'm saying is that if there is an open spot, he deserves the chance. There is no risk involved unless you just cut/traded someone in order to free up that spot for him. Again, this is due to the fact that he is willing to agree to a contract that will pay him nothing unless he does well.
totally - bring the bum in and see if he has anything. just for the preseason - there's nothing guaranteed in the preseason.

it was just a joke, Teslawlo. i thought it was funny but i agree with you when you say the Knicks lose nothing by bringing the guy in to camp.

You have to be kidding me....Sean Kemp????? he just got arrested for having drugs in his vehicle recently.....Hell no...

or something like "kemp was dominant in his hamburger contest vs spoon and jerome james"
and Sweetney, but then you'd have to reconsider how much he actually domiated.

These pics are enough to make a grown man cry. I miss Shawn Kemp the way he was back in the Seattle "Gary throws it I go get it" days. He was good in Clevland too.....sad. It used to hurt me to see him like that. He was truly the best when he was on top. It's a shame that he let his personal life destroy his place among the best at is profession.

I remember.....

bro, totally. i remember when in the 96 finals, kemp had the ball by the 3 point arc, dribbled once hopped and dunked. kemp was a favorite player of mine back in the day. sad to see him go downhill. he should still be dominating. guy was easily top 10 player in the NBA when his game was right. CRAZY skills. simply astounding.

that's right.

in a word he was . . . amare.

but that was a lifetime ago in terms of an nba player. it's nothing but old pictures and 10 year old video clips now.

who are you kidding? I actually thought the Sonics had a chance to beat the Bulls in the finals that year.

Kemp was the one man on the court other than MJ who i felt couldn't be stopped.

then they had a young and fierce GP, who i thought had that "i rather lose than die" mentality.

man, MJ laid alot of cats down in his time

Perhaps the young player will evolve and be more responsable and take better care of his mental and physical heath in the future.

This guy is another reason why kids need one year of prep from high shool to get ready and learn PROFESSIONALISM!

He did not go to kentucky cuz he did not make his grades!

While he had a world of talent and freaky natural ability, he was never prepared for what lied ahead.

His return is filled with regret, which makes his retirement a blessing! But the curse is he never learned what he needed to balance his life.

Being a professional basketball player is not easy and the temptations are all to easy.

We are trying to get younger and more athletic. Maybe the rockets can use him, or in Miami.

I remembered in the 96 Finals where Rodman had Kemp cornered on the left baseline. Kemp put on a power move, one dribble and dunked on Rodman and Jordan. "Thunder" was awesome in the early 90s. That team should have won alot more. George Karl has to take a lot of that blame. Getting bounce out of the playoffs by the Late Shift "Lakers" has to be right up there with the Nuggets win in 94.

Yeah well has GP ever covered his big mouth when it counted? MJ and Pippen were goofing on him like crazy before that series. "Yeah, bring on 'the glove,'" sung in derision.
