I not sure Crawford is better than Miles, and I think we need Miles more than we need Crawford. Anyway, this is not going to happen, because Isiah loves Crawford, but I just think this would be a fair trade.

Its true that we will need a starting SF soon because TT is going to get traded sometime next season and Im not completely sure Ariza is ready to start and get 30+ mins with Lee backing him up. We have Q but I hope we use him at SG and get a traditional SF, and I would try to get someone else than Miles. Ariza can do the things he does and maybe more.

Wow, I can't see us with Q and Crawford on this team for long...

Stop fixating on dunkers!

Reezy can dunk.

Lee can dunk.

MIles is crap, bad attitude, and posterboy for high school hype crap!

Jeez! Let portland lie in its own feces as we got our own mess to clean up.

I think Nalod hit it right on the head. I'm willing to take a chance on players with suspect attitudes but not ones that dont put up #s to offset the potential attitude problems.

Miles doesn't put us over the top by any stretch of the imAGINation. He's c-o-c-k-y, and inconsistent. Our glARING need is size upfront, not another unwanted, overpAID SCRUB.

note: why cAN'T I use the word c-o-c-k-y without the hyphens?

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Because of the first four letters of that word. It won't let you write that. Happens everytime someone post something about the former GM of the... Cavs was it?

Me too....

I think Miles with the way he operates is perfect for the Knicks. His whole game is in between and he is capapble of being great defensively because he blocks shots well. His game is closer to Prince than Ariza.

Again Miles wouldn't put us over the top but he would make the team alot better. From a chemistry standpoint it would work. All the Knicks would need to do is find a starter at the 4.

Gooden and Miles together on the Knicks would be awesome if you really think about it. You got alot of good players on the cusp of turning the corner to being all-stars and Larry Brown is coming to town to get them thinking about winning. That thought is awesome to me.

I would rather see Trevor Ariza play sf than Darius Miles.

Ariza can dunk too. And he doesn't have that trait that Miles have, either

Exactly,

I mean we're all guilty of this at different times, but I can't believe how little vision some people can muster when they project out Reezy. Look at what he did as a 19 year old rookie who hasn't grown into his body yet and just think a little.

Miles has dominated games in his career, I really don't ever see that being the case for Reezy. Miles is bigger and longer and with his skills he is able to do more than Reezy, until Reezy can develop a consistant jumper.

This is what I'm saying.

I project Ariza to be Darius Miles one day but after watching summer league Ariza is not even close to being that. It's not even about Ariza's jumper. Ariza's face up game is very limited. Ariza is still a driver and a very reckless one at that. Ariza still showed how he can't finish off his shots around the basket unless he has a clear path for a dunk.

Darius a nice in-between game. Darius has post game and he can take dudes off the dribble. Darius can also shoot the three. These are things that Ariza can't do....right now at least.

Point being.....the Knicks have to get better. What is wrong with trading to get Darius Miles and still have Ariza playing the same role he did last year? Losing Crawford is fine with me because the Knicks have Q....and dare I say it......Allan Houston!!!

The more I think about it Darius Miles needs to be a Knick. Send Crawford to Portland where he would be an instant starter closer to his home state. It makes alot of sense to me.

Getting Darius Miles would the worst thing for this organization I can think of. Why pick up a guy who's attitude to other people makes guys like Rasheed, Kobe, etc. look as gentle as Lenny! If Kurt was still here, I would trade for Miles just to see Kurt kick the sh!t out of him. He is a horrible little man, who shouldnt be allowed anywhere near our beloved Knicks. He defines the phrase locker-room cancer. If I was David Stern, I would be trying to boot people like him out of the league for good ASAP.

Stay the hell clear of Darius Miles. Isiah got it right first time, not taking him on for Frank and Othella, and the only reason Portland took him on at all is cuz it was a cancer for cancer deal, with McInness going the other way.
