I thought they used a trade exemption- that kept the mle option for them.

Truth be told, when he said we'd never win a championship with Childs and Charlie and we went to the finals anyway, I was not feeling any love for marbs. I did not like him dissing our guards at the time!
He was jealous. He wanted to be the point guard that lead the Knicks to the championship. It was so obvious back then how much he wanted to be a Knick. Now he's one, and he will probably have many chances of winning one in the future. We'll see how he delivers...
