Larry stayed witht the sixers for SIX years!

Iverson was 22 years old!

They won 31 games his first year coaching.

Its possible the stays, teaches, and eventually wins!
That's a great example. I wasn't aware of that. He is older now and might be in more of a hurry to win. I hope not, though.

the one big concern is guys like Frye and Lee will sit for guys like JYD and Rose. He will teach defense first and rookies earning p/t isnt a bad thing. It will certainly be interesting... the thing is he's always liked lunch pail type guys like Kenny Thomas, Eric Snow, McKey. He would rather play McDyess over Darko and thats a concern.

Larry Brown is big on Practice.
"That's what we talkin' bout! Practice."

If the rooks are pushing the Vets in practice, they will eat into the playing time of said vets. Nate is gonna play, and so is Frye. These guys are critical needs. Who knows with LEE. Maybe he goes to the NBDL for seasoning on his permimeter game.

Does anyone know Darko's practicve habits?? I remember reading they weren't that great. Can anyone confirm that fuzzy recollection?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

The AI quote was funny as hell... lol

As for our 3 rooks, I think they'll all be on the roster this season- Lee included.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

the point is Darko is a good prospect and he has shown ZERO progress under Brown. He's probably NOT as good as advertised but the size and skills are there. He was hungry when he was drafted. Now he's talking about going home and playing in Europe. Thats not good progress.

Its nit picking because I want LB and he's so obviously what this team and group needs.

Front office chemisty is important also... remember Ernie vs. JVG almost cost us a playoff berth.

If Larry sticks to coaching and teaching and Isiah sticks to drafting and finding young players via trade (like Q+Nate for KT) we will be in great shape.

LB breath, sleep, eat, drink and poop practice. Rebuilding is too taboo a word for NY. It is more like progressing on the go. LB is just what the Knicks need...a guru to teach the youngsters the nba game and whip the vets in practice. What happened in Detroit will bear no semblance what will happen in NY. LB is simple a bball genius. Bring him on!
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.

With Larry, the Pistons often did deals for the future, like Carlos Arroyo, and also they played many youngsters like Delfino, Dupree. The fact that Darko didn't play was because he wasn't ready to contribute in a team that was going for the championship. But did they trade him because they tried to win now? No, and if they believe in him they will keep him and hope he developes. I don't think Larry is the kind of coach that just doesn't plays rookies for the sake of it. If they work hard they will play. If they help him win bringing something different to the team, they will play.
