I feel for Herb, but that is the price he has to pay for not taking advantage of the chances that he was given...

I dont remember but I wonder if Herb was in Indy when Larry was there. I could see him keeping Herb on and grooming him. Who knows, but while Larry leaves teams in dramatic fashion he leaves them in good shape.

No, he was great with the Pisstons but with all the media scrutiny in NY he may need to hire a good therapiss.

JVG left us with a solid defensive mind set, and that went out the window in the 1st game chaney coach. Don nelsons philosphy went with him as soon as jvg took over, and phili is now starting to recoup from the post larry brown era themselves.

So I don't belive anything stays the same when another coach follows, ( maybe with the exception af LENNY and CHANEY)
