Brown will be coaching the Knicks. There is no doubt about it.

This makes the current team a 40-45 win team.

IT needs to make one more move and that is another ALL-STAR caliber player. That is why he wants Walker. I don't but everyone knows you need at least 2 ALL-STAR level guys to carry to load. NY has Marbs and who else? Q is ok, but no one else is close. Walker would be that guy.

Antoine Walker is not an all star player. If he was, he would be signed already. I think some people dont understand basketball. He's got nice talent, always has, but he's an undiscplined low % player who plays porous defense. We need to be patient and go with what we have for now.

I agree, in a perfect world, Walker is not my guy either, I said that in my post. BUT, as others have since posted, with Brown coming, Walker can be that guy who can make it work. Brown made Rasheed Wallace into a NORMAL player. I think the guy is a magician and will get the most out of his players even Walker. Walker takes some of the scoring load off of Marbury and some of the pressure of Frye. Frye can develop his D first and then his O with walker on board.

Walker is a chucker, plays no D and head case but he has TALENT. there is no doubt that he would be the best PF on the team right away. In addition he is only 29. He is in his "prime"!

If Boston wants to give us Lafrentz too, that would be fine. I would take both of them for Sweets/Rose and Some other baggage.

Walker???? only if it will not cost us too much. If we can get rid of 2 of our PFs in that deal, I would say go for it.

yep, we can dump two PF's for one, I'd be ecstatic.
There has to be a way we can get a S & T done that gives the celts the hard working Rose and the Youthful Sweets.

I think it's a deal worth doing asap.

But no way we take lafraenz.

if we had Walker instead of TT last year we would have won 45 games.

Jefferson is not ready to take hold of Boston. I don't understand why Walker would be available. If it wasn't for him they would wither down the stretch and he was huge during their playoff series despite the lost while Pierce was pretty much a prick. I don't think Walker though is Larry Brownbag type of player. See AI pre 2000-2001 season. Too much work. To be honest neither is Nate Robinson, and Crawford. I think Marbury could be control and is more coachable. Remember Brownbag is always tougher on his point guards than other position. He expects alot out of them.

I think you might be right considering that TT was probably the worst starting SF in the league and Walker would be at least an average starting PF or SF who brings good rebounding and passing

I think you can take almost any player in the NBA, replace Walker's name with his in that sentence, and it would still hold.

Being better then TT is not really a good measuring stick.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Vin is still on the celts payroll from buyout.

Larry should chill one year, coach, then Lebron.

Larry and NYC are charms to Lebron!

Hmmm... Now THAT would be something to think about...

Here's another... what IF somehow we were able to make that happen this year? Man, oh man!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Ain't enoughj Kool Aid for that to happen!

I just feel that the knicks are not ready for a "larry Brown".

I want to rebuild, I don't want those contracts not exchanged for Walker kinda players, but the real deal. No Lafrantz either!

Do it right!

If he's not an all-star, I guess he must have "accidentally" been placed on three all-star teams. He needs to make a lot of changes to his game and it's unknown if he will. That's why I'd be nervious about getting him. However, for a low price (like one expiring contract), I think it's a worthwhile gamble. He's been a huge part the Celtics' past playoff success and has too much talent to overlook. If he plays with the right attittude, he has the skills to be a top 20 player in the league. If he plays with the wrong attitude, we need a coach who will bench him.

He was the reason for a lot of there failures. It's funny how nobody wanted the spree for walker deal to go through, but to even entertain the thought of a crawford for walker deal is ridicuslouly dumb and niave. To top matters off , walker makes about as many dumb plays as he does good ones, if it comes down to benching him when we need him the most, what would be the difference between him and JC other then age,
