the bulls also had a young nucleus that finally started to click and buy in to skiles coaching.

theoretically, if everything comes together, something similar could happen to us.

I still think we're too much frankenstein's monster with too many odd parts- Q, MT, TT, craw, JJ are just players that IT was able to get with the weak assets we had- while they might be an improvement, they are still just a collection of parts-

kinda like the johnny cash song- one piece at a time

Valid point but that's where i think the JJ signing was so good. The last few weeks there have been a lot of accurate cries on this board about the imbalance of our roster. The major imabalance IMO was corrected with the adddition of a 7'1" 275# guy.

if we wanted size, we should have drafted Bynum then...this is what doesn't make sense when you look at the moves Isiah makes...he says he wants to get younger & more athletic & then brings in guys like Malik, Mo T, Vin, Moochie & JJ...then he says he wanted size for the frontcourt, & passes up Bynum in the draft...what the hell is this guy doing? does anyone know? i sure as hell can't figure it out.

Here are yoiur answers:

Malik - forget about him. He balanced the #'s. The trade was Nazr for 2 #1's. Great trade IMO.

Vin - The gamble was that the heart surgery would correct Vin's physical problems. Actually a pretty reasonable gamble on a 6'11" inside scorer who just the previious season had given 14 or 15 and 7 in Boston before falling apart.

Moochie - that was a psyche move. Get Fatspoon's worthless ass out of here immmediately and shut up all the whiners who insisted that every one of Laydog's mutts was untradable.

JJ - We need a guy of his size. Period.

Frye over Bynum - IT convinced he's the better player with a better future and that we could add a guy of Bynum's size via FA signing, which we did. Frye could very well end up the better player.

MoT - easy explanation. IT experimented with crack.

What precisely did we give up for Mo T?

Garbage?

He turned the Garbage in Mo T who might be a decent back up- certainly a better back up than Vinnie B.
