In the UK (and most of Europe), you can get GPRS access anywhere. And if you have the right phone (I have a PalmOne Treo, which is a PDA and a phone in one), you can access the internet on it. I dont dl pictures on pages, just raw text, and page outline. The site takes about the same time to load on my phone as it would on 56k, even though my connection speed is lower. Sometimes then can be gliches in the text when im replying to things, but generally its great.
Maybe if you guys are lucky, the US might be able to catch us up technology-wise within the next oh, 5-10 years

.
BTW, I sometimes cant connect to the site at all, even from my broadband, but when I do get on, it seems that everybody else has been getting on fine. Any ideas?

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?
