I think a lineup of 3 guards with forwards like Frye, Lee, Hunter, Sweetney and Rose rotating in and out could work. Course, it'd be nice to get Hunter or Kwame or Drew Gooden...or someone who is actually good. That would make it work better.

Sorry man. Not to burst your bubble. For you and anyone on this board that feels we should be fine with Marbury, Crawford, and Q Rich having the offense run mostly through them, and banking on guys like Lee, Frye, Hunter, Sweetney......even Rose, is just ridiculous. Maybe you guys are more hopeful than I thought. I'm optimistic like anyone else, but REALISTICALLY optimistic. I think good things can happen, but changes are in order.

To think a bunch of 1st and 2nd year PF's, along with a few undersized, veteran PF's and possibly a FA signing will man the paint for us over the next few years is ludicrous. It's not quantity, it's quality that matters. Frye and Lee won't be getting much Playing Time if our goal, if YOUR goal, is to make the playoffs. Be realistic. When do rookies EVER make that much of an impact on a team, especially when theyre destined to be solid role players off the bench, but nothing more than that.

In order to make a run next year, assuming that is in fact the goal of the orginization, then a BIG move needs to be made to acquire a legit big man, not your everday 5-10 MPG benchwarmers.

I guess that's the problem with some Knick fans. They're completely oblivious to reality. I like that you stick by your team no matter what, but open your eyes. We're in the Atlantic, and even with Kwame and the rest of our guys, Marbury included, we still wouldnt even be 2nd or 3rd in our DIVISION. Philly, NJ, and maybe even Boston will be better, and by a good margin. We'll STILL be missing the playoffs......again.

And THAT, my friends, is why, unless we land a Sheed-caliber PF/C soon, Marbury needs to be dealt before it's too late...

why would we be worried about the playoffs? the Knicks are pretty obviously rebuilding. I agree that trading Marbury should be explored and I've said that several times.

But if the goal was making the playoffs, I don't think Zeke would be stockpiling young picks. That said, I think the Knicks will be very close to the playoffs, but the East is getting a lot better these days.

Yeah, he hit so many big shots, played such good defense and performed so well in the playoffs that they repalced him with Raja Bell and added pick 21 to get rid of him for a guy we couldnt trade for 3years

This is so much like Grucho's famous quote that he didn't want to be a member of any club that would have him.

Funny, but I'd have been happy if we just traded KT for Nate! Q is cap filler in that deal.

Q is such a good outside shooter that with all the open looks he got with Nash (MVP, assist leader) and Amare and Marion and JJ, he shot the same percentage as Craw!

That's why IT brought Q in, to make Crawford look like a lethal outside shooter.

That's not a statement based in reality.

Why would we be worried about making the playoffs? B/c most fans, except you, would rather achieve something next season as opposed to standing still in mediocrity. Keeping Marbury suggests strongly to me that the playoffs is our goal, plain and simple. Whey else would Isiah keep him...just to appease Dolan so he can sell a couple more tickets? Ya right. Isiah is the GM. The ball is in his court, not Dolan's. This isn't the ****in Gestapo where Dolan can curtail everything Zeke chooses to do. I know Isiah doesn't have total authority over the team, but his vision is what determines where we're headed, not Dolan's...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
