He's old, brittle, won't be here by the time we are good enough to contend for a title. I don't really want Herb back either...it'll be a lame duck situation with up-tempo and no D Westphal taking over mid-season. Bill Lambieer - now that's someone I'd want. The guy is a WINNER. He won as a player and won the WNBA title as well. He knows what it takes. His teams play tough. That's what NY should be about. Who do you want to see as the coach of the Knicks?

If the Knicks could set it up so that Larry coaches until he's ready to retire and Herb works as his assistant and take over when he leaves, Herb would be a better coach. Herb learned to coach from his years under Riley/Van Gundy. Getting additonal experience under Larry Brown would be very valuable to him as a coach.
