15 and 11.

They sure don't make centers like they use to, do they

I'll take 15 and 11 from the center position on this team- that would be a legit option after marbury, craw and Q get their points.

Jamaal, YES but we don't need another PF!

A frontcourt rotation of Jamaal, Sweets and Frye would be nice.

Magloire is not the type of players that Isiah wants....I don't know, I would only bring him in as a last resort. he is too expensive..

Ya, he's REAL expensive making almost HALF of what Marbury is...

I'm sure you'd also bring in Kwame before you even considered Magloire, who, btw, is considered 1 of the top 5 Centers in the league when healthy.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Offer Sweetney and Crawford for Magloire. I would do something like that.

but the Hornets wouldn't. They're not looking to add salary. They're looking to stockpile picks and cheap, young talent.

Penny OR Timmy, Sweetney, & a Fut. Protected 1st OR Ariza

FOR

PJ Brown, Magloire

would def. entice them. and yes, if you're looking to make the playoffs, that's a move that you make, despite giving up what seems like alot.

There's no way we can get Jamaal Magliore. He's worth way more than anything we are willing to give up.

He's probably referring to what it would cost us to acquire him in a trade

I wouldn't but I don't see how they wouldn't accept that. Thats alot for him, imo. I don't wanna give up our key talent for him, just sweets and expiring contracts.

Why Magloire or Kwame but not Hunter???? Magloire and Kwame are both horrible at blocking shots....

magliore is not that much better than Kurt and he's not as good a rebounder. All he has on Kurt is 1in and he does a little scoring inside. Not enough to be your #1 frontcourt option. I'd take my chances with Gadzuric and Sweetney splitting time if anything. It would be a lot cheaper

the Center that I really want is Hunter...He is young, affordable, and is hungry. He went through a lot in his young career and the bright light in N.Y. will make a player out of this young man...

Hunter is and would still be a backup, or 20 mpg starter for us. He isn't the answer but he could be part of it.

Magloire is a legit 6-11 Center. Kurt is 6-9 TOPS. Magloire is actually the better rebounder, although it's pretty close. Magloire is also a pretty good shot blocker, and offers great interior defense, just like Kurt did. He also just turned 27, so he's 5+ years younger.

The problem some of you have is you don't visualize what it would be like having a Kwame or Stro or Stephen Hunter here. Not much is gonna change b/w now and next season as far as their game is concerned. What you see is mostly what you get. Granted, there is still a little room to grow.

If you wanna make the playoffs, you keep Marbury and add a LEGIT Big.

If you wanna normalize the cap, get younger, and be more exciting you go after a Stro or Kwame, trade Marbury, and stockpile picks...

those are the options, you can't mix and match.

No post- up game.. Hunter and Frye are similair type players.. We need someone to compliment Frye by doing much of the rebounding, getting physical and demanding the double-team on offense.. That would put less pressure on our guards shooting the ball.

Knicks are a shooting team !!!We need an inside game desperately and Hunter does not fit that mode...

...as long as the hand injury isn't a lingering problem, Magliore should be considered IMO.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
