I agree, our big boys need to at least average 20 to 30 boards between them, but I like the fact that both Butler and Frye have 3 block shots...

Frye had 1 block & its against summerleague competition!

I can live with Butler's 5rebs and 2blks since he's still raw and has plenty of room for development. But We drafted Frye because he was supposably ready and he comes up with 3rebs and 1blk! oh man if he has another game like that today!

yeah, his career will probably be over. good call, man.

let me get this straight, you wanted to draft a high schooler and patiently develop him? something tells me patience isn't your strong suit.

I have all the patience for developing high ceiling players. I don't think you understand me at all. Frye isn't a high ceiling player. He was drafted because he is supposably a "NOW" player. He better play like one

Dude! don't so prejudice....Give Frye at least 20 games before you go on and criticize the boy. You watch, that boy is going to come out today and grab at least 10 boards and add 20+ points to go along with it. You won't be satisfied.

trust me I will. Until he does it consistently I won't. He didn't in college. Inconsistent players have no business being taken at 8 over potential star players that always slip because teams draft for size and need

Inconsistant??? are you nuts? that kid consistantly scored in college...Every player have strength and weacknesses...The one thing that we have to wonder is if the kid is willing to learn to improve his weaknesses...it is going to take a good coach/motivator to help this young kid reach all of his potentials.

Under the tutelage of Aguirre, it can happen. It's just up to JB's willingness to put the work in.

Diderotn, I agree that it'll take some time to mold him into a comparable player to Big Ben. He's a project, but one that has decent odds of paying off (if any credibility is given to players coming out of the NBDL).

Nice to see some optimism around here, too!
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Butler the next Ben Wallace? Thats the stupidest s*** I heard in days. I dont think you realize Ben Wallaces Vertical leap. His hops and his longs arms make him what he is. I never saw Butlers fat ass get 5 inches off the ground. I think Jackie Butler will be the next Michael Sweetney.

Guns, are you serious when you say you have all the patience?

You just basically insinuated that if Frye had another mediocre SUMMER LEAGUE game, he would be a bust. That's ridiculous.

Can Butler be the next Big Ben? I doubt it, unless he hits the weights right now.

Big Ben was always jacked, he just learned how to rebound and defend. Butler isn't defined at all, he's kind of roly poly.

its not that hard to figure out that I haven't been a Frye fan from Day 1. When you listen to sportstalk radio and you have fans from out West who are fans of Arizona and the Pac 10 calling in to say how much they hate their own player Frye and how inconsitent he is and how he gives you effort one game then disappears the next and is overmatched by bigger players, you tend to want to stay away from the player!

Isiah made the mistake with TT now he's might've made the same mistake again.

Mistake #1: Don't listen to Sports talk radio.

Listen, guns, I'm with you on Frye. I think his ceiling is pretty low, and at best I see him turning into a 14, 6, and 2 type player in the NBA. I'll take that, since he's 6'11" and mobile. Should Isiah have drafted someone else? Maybe.

However, all I'm saying is, let's give it some time. Isiah made the pick, we can't go back in time (unless you know a crazy-ass Doctor who owns a Delorean). Let's just see how it turns out and not judge it after 2 summer league games. If a season or 5 seasons go by and he hasn't shown anything, then I'm all ready to say Frye was a disaster, but let's just wait this out, he hasn't even been on the Knicks for 3 weeks.

The Butler I saw today was fat and lazy. No Wallace here.
