I worked in NYC for 12 years. I had been in the WTC dozens upon dozens of times and my friend Seth Morris, who worked for Cantor-Fitzgerald died that day. This was a 28 year old man with three kids, a powerfully built athletic man who was never even found. His family still lives 3 houses down from me, and to this day there is a surrealness that I cant explain. The only word I can think of is rape. Those people preyed on innocent, non-military people, women and children. No b*lls to face down people 1-1. Just hide in the crowd like cowards. Sorry, but I don't trust Middle Eastern people for the most part. It's a sad statement, but it's the truth.

You arent alone in your last statement - and I think as more stuff like this happens it will become a more popular opinion. Until Muslims in the middle east stand up to fight against this type of behavior there is no reason to trust them. They brought this war to us, all we are doing is returning the favor.

This is a ridculous post. You can't condemn entire religous belief based on the actions of a few. Most Muslims are peaceful and devote. Every sect of people have morons in them who rather live in chaos rather than peace. Terrorism has been committed by every religion, every race, every creed. To me this type of terrorism is no different than 9/11, Oklahoma, Madrid, Moscow, or the church bombings in the southern US. Has nothing to do with religon.

A lot of what you say is true, these people are taught at an early age to hate Americans. Im sorry, but when I was in HS I wasnt taught to hate anyone. People who don't understand the honest truth, that the people of Iran and most of the middle east are taught in school that the United States of America=the arm of the devil--go read about this before condemning the truth. They believe killing an American is an act of a martyr and the martyr will be rewarded with virgins in paradise once they kill an American--you know what this sht is--its just like a huge Jim Jones cult. Any person who straps a f bomb to themselves to kill innocent people in order to get their point accross comes from a civilization that I want no part of and should be condemend from the rest of the world. Maybe we need a few more of these in other countries to wake people up and when they watch Iranians chant death to America while they burn our flag, they will get an understanding of why we are there. And as long as sht like this continues, it will only get worse.

Guys thanks for the solidarity, it means a lot to me. Noone I know so far has been hurt, but its looks like there are a lot more dead then previously assumed. I personally appreciate your guys' posts about whats happening here.

And HARDCORE, from reading the biginning of Simrud's post, I think he's talking about the terrorist version of Muslims, not all of them. But regardless, it would have been nice if, during your little rant, you could have expressed some sort of commiseration. Not for me, I havent been hurt today, but hundreds have. Just sounded like you dont really give a crap.

I'm jewish so I know what prejudice really means. Ive felt it all my life. Ive been spat on, punched, kicked and called every name in the book. I dont believe that the acts of few are a reflection on an entire religion. But the only way to deal with these terrorists, is to find them and administer a little taste of western justice. And if that means killing them, so be it.
