I'm just sayin thats not a good sign when your 8th lotter pick gets outplayed by a 2nd round pick, or if your supposed starting C gets 3 brds . Or when he shoots 5-15. Thats one disgusting stat line. Thats all I'm sayin.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Jackie played decently in limited minutes. Had 3 fouls but he had 2 points, 2 blocks, and 5 rebounds in 17 minutes.

Butler's stat line is prolly more impresive for a C then Frye's lol.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Frye with 3 rebounds? 5-15? Looks like he got outplayed by Ha. Pathetic.

Its only the first game, so lets give the guy some room, but anyone who has watched Channing frye over the last 4 years KNOWS he IS NOT a good rebounder, I really thought this would be exploited in the pros.

What we have to hope for is he can hold his own and shoot at a high % tonight he didnt but there are a lot of games out there. If he had to play against HA remember Ha is 7-3 325 and Channing has probably never seen anything like it.

One good thing about Frye, he made his free throws, 6-6

Brent Wright and Aaron Miles did pretty good too in limited minutes

Nate really is a mini dwayne wade. I think he could be the surprise of the draft.

yea I'm surprised Nate took 17 shots, I'm not complaining though because it looks like he did well

It's one summer league game, folks. :) There's lots of promising stuff in the box score. On Portland's side-- it looks like they've done a good job picking and developing their high schoolers. Webster had a great first game... and Telfair nearly had a triple double.

On the Knicks, Nate Robinson looks like he has some serious confidence (and skills). I'm encouraged by Frye's 6/6 from the line--- and the fact that he had the balls to take 15 shots. Ariza looks like he's added some PG-type skills to his arsenal (much like Jefferson in his 2nd summer league).

Hopefully Channing's lack of rebounding tonight was due to Lee and Ariza cleaning up the boards

On the bright side, it looks like Fyre gave Jin problems since he had 6 fouls

And Portland shot over 55% from the field...but I'm not making excuses. Frye will be fine.
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)
