It depends on for what.

Exactly. He's a good deal for Rose, Taylor or JYD straight up, or just for the MLE. Start adding guys like Sweetney etc. and it becomes dicey for me.

I love Sweetney but he will never be better than a Weatherspoon/corlis williamson type player. he's not as skilled as those guys and he's 40LBS heavier and most likey will continue to get heavier since he eats Mcdonalds for dinner

I think you're exaggerating the weight issue. It's a problem, but 40 pounds heavier than Spoon is not even close to right. I also don't agree that he's less skilled. He was a very advanced post player in college, who still hasn't been given the opportunity to really be a dominant post player in the NBA. (he's never been regularly fed the ball). He's already a much better rebounder than Corliss ever was.

But above all, its way to early to make a judgment like that. By that logic, considering Brown has been longer, it would be fair to say he'll never be better some potential barrier. Sweetney's work ethic on the court and productivity has thus far been better than Brown's, and both players are about the same age.

I just out of curiosity I did the checkup and both Weatherspoon and Sweetney weigh in officiall at 270.

I would love it if we could get Kwame and he exceeds all expectations, but coming to NY, I don't see that happening. He couldn't deal with all the scrutiny in Washington, well get a load of New York my friend. I've been saying this for a few months now actually. He needs a nice quiet NBA town that will be laid back about him. He needs a good kicking in the arse, but he doesn't need all the massive scrutiny he has faced. So I don't see NY being a city he'll succeed in. You're swinging for the fences with this, but the problem is, this isn't that 314 foot wall in Yankee stadium right field. This is 700 feet in dead straight center field in Tiger Stadium.

except now he is 23 not 18 and on the verge of breaking out
But what if he isn't? Say the start of the season, he plays great to get some pressure off, but come January and he goes back to being lazy. If we could get him cheap ( assuming Swift isn't available) I don't see why not, but once players like Sweetney and JYD start getting thrown in, the deal is terrible

What does that have to do with anything? And how do you say he'll break out? B/c he's 23 and he was the #1 pick? Dude, the Wizards told him to not show up for a PLAYOFF GAME. I know the Wizards haven't been such a great organization, but hey man, that's not so great if stuff like that is happening.

From what I understand, Kwame has been completely SPOONFED his entire life, and then the Wizards continued to do so to him, instead of teaching him what to do in life and in basketball. From what I read, they literally did his crap for him, simple stuff like laundry and shopping (I don't know how long that last though) and they just treated him like crap in practice, mainly when Michael was around.

I just don't see the guy becoming a good New York Project. I hope for him that he someday becomes successful, but he has to learned that having a mentality 10X worse than the one Keith Van Horn has wont cut it for the NBA. But this also isn't for the NBA, it's for life.
