I'm not sold on Pierce - he's been inconsistent but based on past history - I think Pierces best years are better then Marbury's best
years.

Overall Pierce is a better scorer and rebounder and when he's in the
mood better on defense.

Marbury is a better assist guy. I definitely do not think Marbury can do everything Pierce can do (nor the other way around) - as players they are not that similar.

I like Pierce, but he can't do anything that Marb cant. By the way, you are talking about marb's age, how old is Pierce and Walker????
there is nothing wrong with marbury as a player. its just, our team is young. marbs is 28, going on 29 this year. then you are talking about the rest of our core players being 25 and younger. it just makes sense to trade him while he is in his prime and get all of your core players around the same age. By the time our youngstas become 29, reach their prime, marbs will be 32-33, declining, and probably a FA.

It is funny how impatient some N.Y fans can be...Give Marburry time and a much better squad than the Thomas brothers, and great things will happen. He did an excellent job with the Phoenix Suns that he helped reach the playoffs the year before Amare's injuries, he can do the same here in N.Y....

He hasn't done a great job anywhere. In the NBA to be considered great you have to win. He hasn't. Maybe it was never his fault - but until he proves he can win - he's not great.

I agree about that, but why must you all continue to ask to trade this kid while you and everyone else on this board know that Marb didn't have a good supporting cast to help him???? Now that this franchise is finally gathering guys that are talented to help Marb out, and you want to trade him???? You all are very sick in the head....

Boston has not won with both pierce and walker also, what makes anyone think that will change in NY? marbury is 28, stop talking as if he is on his last legs, he would be fine to lead our group of young guys, I mean nash is 30 and the suns don't seem so worried about his age... I don't understand why knicks fans always overexaggerate marbury's weakness and down play his strengths...

Pierce didn't have a great supporting cast when he lead the Celtics and no Walker and his 39% shooting doesn't cut it
