Walker was a target during the season, as Isiah thought the team he had was enough to contend in the East. When he found out we still had a lot of problems to solve, he decided to rebuild. Thats why we have so many rookies now. Being that the direction we'll be taking, Walker is no longer desired by NY.

I really don't think Walker would be a nice help to anything. Do we really need a PF whose skill set is a caricature of Jamal Crawford's game? No D, horrendous shooting percentages, jacks up 3s like it's going out of fashion. Last year ranked among the league's lowest in +/- stats. Perennially shut down in the playoffs by Kenyon Martin, and I mean shut down. Not that Martin isn't a great defender, but come on-- the guy has a hard time hitting 40% alone in a gym, when he runs into some D he has a hard time putting up 20%. Ugh. Absolute trash. I'll be really down on Isiah if he even makes an effort to get this guy.

Sweetney and Rose for Kwame, only if they throw in Blatche. And Mo for Walker-- NO. Keep him off the damn team. I'd rather have Mo.

Maybe not, but it's a nice-- check that, necessary-- insurance policy for NY. I'm not keen on trading Sweetney for a guy who very well may never get his career together. I could understand why Isiah might do it, but that would be putting a lot of faith in crossed fingers-- too much for my tastes.

Right now it seems like our two main targets are Swift and Brown. It makes sense because they are the athletic big men with the most upside. I'm not sure which i would prefer. The only difference is if Swift comes in he will start at the PF and Frye the C, or if Brown comes in he will probably be our C where Frye will be our PF. We're bigger and more skilled with that line-up but are better defensively with Swift. Either player could develop into an allstar with the right teaching. Maybe we could get both players, one via sign and trade and the other with the mid level.
