Nonsense. Sweets very well could be traded, but don't look too much into his omission from the SL roster. It seems most likely that he's not there because we already have 3 bigs (Frye, Lee, Butler) that we need to get a good look at. Sweetney would interfere with that.

Thats a good point. If he doesnt get traded, I hope Sweetney is doing some kind of training and doesnt come back overweight.

Someone mentioned on another thread not to expect Sweets in the SL. A 2-yr. veteran rarely does.

Yeah but Bruno's on an incentive contract and this is the only shot he has at racking up bonus dough.

WOW... love the fact that the knicks added Otis George and Aaron Miles to the summer roster. George would make a nice rotation forward, he can do it all from the forward spot, he's also a very nice passer. Aaron Miles was a bit of a dissapointment at Kansas, only because he never lived up to his potential billing but he can still be a pretty good PG in the NBA, I don't think theres room for him on the Knicks but maybe he can show up well and showcase himself for a few other teams. I can't wait to watch these summer games!!

Nothing wrong with the SL list IMO... Isiah is STILL making it happen. The SL should be fun to watch, especially since we get to see the rookies play.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Sweetney has already shown everything he needs to show in summer league action. He absolutely dominated last year... he could only do worse this year.

This is going to be Ariza's time to shine and show that he's taken his game to the next level with a new improved jump shot.

I don't think Sweetney isn't on because he's being traded; how about because this would be his 3rd year in a row?

I don't think I agree. Lst year didn't he average like 21 and 10 and everyone was convinced he was gonna break out in the regular season?

It's time for him to stop dominating rookies and FA's and get himself prepared to do it in the real season IMO.

we can check but I think he averaged closer to 16 and 9 last summer. He had some dominant games and some quiet games if I remember correctly

Reasons to not have Sweetney play SL:
1) Not enough PT to go around for all the big guys. You can't have Sweetney there and not play him the majority of the minutes. But then again, he'll probably get in early foul trouble. Either way, you want to give Frye and Lee a chance to really shine or at least see what they can do.
2) This would be his 3rd year - If he doesn't do well, it will crush his confidence going into the season as well as lower any trade value he has.
3) Sweetney might mistake Channing as a Mcdonald's frye and eat him by accident.

Probably none of them. We're starved for roster spots as it is... can't afford to spend one on an undrafted rookie if we're going to make MLE signings or trades where we take back more players than we give (like maybe in a Penny or TT deal).
