Oops, I meant to say he'll grab 2 to 3 more rebounds than TT--the player I expect him to be replacing (not than Kurt). My bad.

I've never heard Q referred to as a bad defender before a few posters here started saying that after the trade. He's very strong and I've always heard him referred to as either average or above average. Regardless, you can't deny that he'll give up fewer points than TT (and he'll probably score more points than TT).

I agree that Q is MUCH better all around than TT, but wouldn't you rather have Ariza start at the 3, with Q at the 2? We'd still be long at the 3 and we'd much bigger at the 2.

Q is very very strong, but so is Marbury and neither are good defenders. It's mainly concentration and commitment, and that's what they haven't done or displayed, same with when Allan had all that athleticism back in his youngin' day, but was never a good defender. But if you're gonna make him a good one, I'd much rather see him do it at the 2, where he can use his size and strength.

I just don't see Isiah starting Ariza over his project/big acquisition last summer. As to which I'd rather see, it depends on how much weight Crawford adds this offseason and whether he can show progress on his defense and decision making. I think he showed some progress (albeit much less than I had hoped for) as the season was ending. Right now, I'd say the starting spot is Jamal's to lose, Trevor's to earn.
