GREAT trade by portland.
they get who they want (webster or bynum) AND get #27 AND get a future #1.

so you have telfair, #6, #27, dmiles and pryzbilla

not many wins now but they have a nice pipeline for 3 years from now...

and Randolph, who may be insane, but he's still three times the player Sweetney is.

I don't know if Portland will take Webster, they might take Bynum. They worked out Bynum more than any other team.

Portland can get a decent SG at 27.

They have many C's, they need a SG

but, I think you are forgetting Bynum's SUPERSTAR POTENTIAL here.

Portland should pick either Green or Webster for the 8th pick, whomever is avaliable. Pick a big at 27. Taft, Simien, Turiaf. Portland is looking good.

A lot of people are saying Webster. Its mostly b/w Webster and Bynum (I think Charlotte will take Green).

Putting Marvin Williams with AK47 would be awesome. If Williams falls to 3, watch them trade Boozer asap.

What the freak!

Portland is trying to buy the 19th pick from Memphis.

Portland To Get A Third First Rounder?
28th June, 2005 - 2:40 pm
The Oregonian - Portland, being the team that many consider the draft hinging on, may be looking into axquiring a third first round pick, pending their rumored deal with Utah does go down.

The team they would trade with? Memphis. The Grizzlies have been reportedly shopping the pick and Portland did buy New Jersey's first round pick last year, taking Russian Viktor Khryapa.

"Probably not strong odds, but it's possible," Blazers GM John Nash said, regarding the chances of acquiring the pick.

Zeke! Gotta get in on this!

in all seriousness, Knicks fans can relax too. This trade locks down the Frye thing. Toronto will take Granger, we'll take Frye. all the ESPN writers talking about how wild and crazy this will be are either idiots or they're trying to boost ratings. me thinks it's a little of both, but their bosses definitely want the latter.

My friend who works for foxsports just sent me this email

"just got a tip from an nba insider...portland and toronto might take frye"

This is something that was always rumored, but I never thought there was any truth to it, now it seems like there might be.

I don't know who that source is or how reliable it is, but I just thought id put it out there.

Are these both facts?

If Frye is on the board, we take him.

If Frye and Green are off the board, we take Bynum.

I hope so, b/c I would scream if we took May over Bynum, but we all wouldn't be shocked if it happened.

I believe that Portland will take Bynum at 6. I also feel that we'll have our choice of Granger or Frye. I hope it's Granger.
We will NEVER win with Marbury as our cameo guy.
