2 dark horse possiblities, given the amount of time Isiah spent in Europe - Vasquez or Petro.

May and Simien are not talented? I think they have more heart and leadership than any other big in the first round.
And the reply is...a post that makes sense (still waiting)

If Frye, Bynum and Granger are gone then I hope Zeke picks the spaniard.

With all respect to Sweets, the Knicks don't have their PF of the future on the current roster.

understood but May and Simien are not the answer. Not with all the talent on the board at 8!

YOu know what, at some point Sweets is gonna break out. ANd no, not in acne from all the RIng-Dings. I mean really break out, and i just hope he's wearing a Knicks uniform when he does it.

No XXL player like Sweets has ever "broken out"...he is good in the low post but can't fast break or face up and get by a defender.

I forgot about Petro, I'd take Granger over him, but I would take Petro as a project big if I was gonna take Bynum there.

It would have to be these players 1-7:
Bogut [locked]
M. Williams [locked]
Chris Paul
Deron Williams
Gerald Green
Danny Granger
Channing Frye
Andrew Bynum

Someone on that list would have to slip, thats 8 guys. It wont be Paul or Deron because guys are high on them. The only players projected in the top 7, I can see slipping are:

Gerald Green
Danny Granger

I have to choose between those two, I easily choose Danny Granger.

If somehow, Paul or Deron is available, I try to orchestrate a trade with a team who needs them. They are high lottery talents, we could likely get a really good player/pick package for them.

But if Granger is there I pick him and call it a day, he has the potential to be one of the best talents in the draft.

No projects at number 8, it is too valuable a pick to waste it on "potential". Even Kobe was taken at #13 and it took him a few years to develop--let's not wait a few years.

Agree feel these are top 8 players, not necessarily in this order. Will be happy with either one of these , with frye being my last choice among the 8.

why? are we winning a championship next year because we drafted 1 player? Kobe was great right away. by year 2 he broke out! Mcgrady also only took about 2yrs. Amare took NONE!

Kobe wasn't great right away and none of the HS players even compare to the players you just mentioned.

Well, Zach Randolph, another player w/ some chub rolls, broke out. :) The difference is that underneath the chubs, Randolph is an athletic guy w/ quick feet... and a face-up game.

Sweetney was a power post up guy in college who used his mass to his advantage to succeed. His Georgetown teams NEVER won. I think in Sweetney's case... losing weight is not the ideal option.

I will post the link later on but the first picks could change. Billy Knight is getting pressure to grab another 1st round pick to nab, Jarret Jack. Per people close to Marvin Williams work out, he didn't really impress everyone there. The thinking is that the Hawks would like to add a center and a point guard with the pg being Jack for obvious reasons, and the center is Bynum. The team that they would like to trade with is Toronto. To grab Bynum at 7 and Jack 16. I got this from Atlanta sport radio, but the guy mentioned an inside article. I don't know why Toronto would be interested in trading their picks though, unless the need to win now is really urgent. btw, Al Harrington is very much on the trade blocks.

Thats a great deal for Atlanta because they will surely have a chance at one of the top PG's (something they really need) at 5 and also get another pick in the high teens to get another good prospect. But they really have to think about it because many have M. Williams as a real franchise player that even some think that should go #1! This draft is so full of possibilities!

If Frye and Bynum are gone by #8, i'll be a truly happy man. Isiah would have to pick Green or Granger (whoever is left) and we'll 1, maybe 2 pieces off of an exciting, good team.

Unless he takes the spaniard...

Lets see, these are the possibilities:

1. Bucks: a) Bogut; b) M. Williams
2. Atlanta: a) M. Williams (great talent); b) C. Paul (t + need)
3. Portland*: a) Paul (t); b) Green (t); M. Williams (slips?)
4. Hornets: a) D. Williams (t + n); b) C. Paul (slips?); c) Green
5. Bobcats: a) Green (t + n); b) D. Williams (t + n); Granger (t + n)
6. Jazz: a) Felton (t + n); b) Frye (size); c) Granger (t)
7. Raptors**: a) Granger (t + n); b) Felton (t + n); c) Frye (s + n); d) Webster (t + n)
8. Knicks: a) Bynum (s + n + potential); b) Granger (t + n); c) Green(n) (slips) d) Frye (s + n)

*- Probably trading down
**- Rumored to trade down (Magloire)
(n)- The Jazz won't probably take him since he is not their kind of guy, the Raptors could probably take him, but they are also high on Granger. Bobcats would love to get one of those two PG's above them...

Bogut is probably the surest thing in the draft. Atlanta could take Paul since their need is so great at PG. Portland would probably take him asap. Green could go top three or could slip. Bynum isn't probably going higher than us, but considering how lately he has gone up and even now its public that Isiah would take him, who knows. If he is gone, probably Frye will too, because they are bigs. Either way, a big fish falls to us, so we shouldn't have to worry...
