what kills me is the fact that it doesn't make a difference if the charges are true or not, she's gonna make a killing w/this book & a ton of these allegations are based on hearsay type stuff... i mean if you have a legit source that's concrete & have the evidence to back it up, fine... go right ahead & write an expose, that's a journalist's duty to do so... but if u wanna slander someone based on some quotes u got off some ex-teammates or whatever else & can't even name your damn sources, how does a book like this even warrant publication? because the stupid public eats this stuff up & this type of trash journalism will always sell is why... credibility be damned, she's gonna make a ton of money on this book & so will the publishers who printed this garbage.

Selena Roberts has zero credibility whatsoever-- see her coverage of the Duke Lacrosse case. A muckraker with no substance behind her allegations. That people still read her and take her seriously is a travesty.

personally, i feel that if MLB's investigation into these allegations don't produce any definitive proof, that Selene Roberts should be banned from any contact w/MLB players, personnel, venues & anything that has anything to do w/the game of baseball... if ARod's livelihood, career & reputation is being put on the line here, so should hers... if u wanna make these types of allegations u better damn well be ready to pay the consequences for them if they're not accurate.

i have my own suspicions about ARod's steroid use, but personally i'm hoping that her "sources" turn up to be nothing substantial other than hearsay comments & that ARod takes this biotch to court for slander.

one thing i don't understand is how MLB allows their own network to completely bash one of their marquee players before their investigation is complete. it's mindboggling.

I've had it up to my eyeballs with ARod, but I been telling people the same exact thing that you just said since all this crap broke. Selena Roberts is a JOKE. J-O-K-E. Her out of bounds and downright sloppy journalism with that whole Duke thing should have gotten her fired and banned from ever writing another story for ANYTHING.

Marte was put on the DL and Claggett was called up.

perfect... we're replacing our shaky lefty reliever w/someone who gave up 8 ER over 1.2 inning the last time he was up here... Claggett's not even putting up tremendously good stats at the AAA level either... what's the point?

why don't they call up Zach Kroenke, or at least Brett Tomko... Kroenke's pitching to a stellar 0.84 ERA right now at Scranton over 10.2 IP & Tomko's pitching at an equally impressive 0.87 ERA over 10.1 IP.
