Lets be real, KAT was a whiney complainer for much of the season leading the league in Fouls. Many offensive. DId he really deserve to be made the Face of the league? Jalen was left off the olympic team and denied in his first season his allstar nod. He kept earniing it and likley like Melo and Ewing get one on the back end on reputation. They are earning it and if they will will be promoted as such going forward.
Wemby is a curiosity to the causual fan and NBA, an entertainment business will promote him as they have many in the past. Jalen is getting endorsements, isn league promos, etc. He is stoic, not very personable, and keeps his personal side private. Not like Ant Edwards! LOL. Brunson was a 2nd round pick and undervalued/underestimated his professional career.

The 2 fouls in 30 seconds on Towns to get him out of the game isn't happening to Wemby. Not counting the numerous times he gets fouled on drives and no call. He will get dinged for any tacky foul though, which a lot of it is his own doing true. But yet we get to see Wemby & the Spurs set illegal screen after illegal screen. Literally pushing the defender with two hands because he isn't strong enough yet to set good screens with his body. Fouls that would be called in KAT or anyone else. Wemby's allowed to grab and fling Alvarado out of the way for boxing him out. Wemby doesn't have to get whiny because he has been privileged with the Wemby whistle/non whistle.
Brunson getting to this level off pure hard work & dedication to his craft as an underdog is what the NBA should be pushing. Not even asking for favorable whistles either. But outside of the Wemby mental error gifting Brunson 2 fts. He would have had 3 attempts last game. All while they have allowed hand checking dating back to the Pistons & Pacers last year when it comes to allowing defenders to guard him. Meanwhile Hart has 9 fouls on him in 2 games for applying any level of defense that the Spurs have been able to apply.
