I think he's getting a physical today which would complete the trade, but he may have been holding it up to get their late first this year. Seems like he's interested in picking up another 1.

Where did you hear that? That's good news if true. Unless they find something horribly wrong with Q's back, I want the deal to be completed before next season regardless of any insurance issues.

Good point Bonn. I dont think it was a mistake either way, I know alot of people want to blame Kurt for the Knicks problems but it wasn't all his fault, he played out of position nightly for this team and he still was a productive player. It seems like things are starting to happen in Knick-land

how the hell does one deduct that KT's contract extension was a wise move on Isiah's part rather than simply trading him when his contract was expiring for another player or draft pick last year? so all of a sudden your precious "expiring contracts" lose their value when it doesn't suit your argument? do i like the trade Isiah supposedly made to get Q Rich? i've already gone on record as saying i did...does that mean i agree w/giving a 32 year old undersized PF a 4 year multi-million dollar contract extension with trade kicker when our roster was already loaded with PF's & we had just drafted a PF w/our lottery pick in the offseason prior? hell no...sorry, but this is a pretty ridiculous reach, even for you Bonn.

He tried really hard to trade Kurt when he had an expiring contract but couldn't pull off any deals based on reports. The only options then were re-signing him or losing him for nothing and re-signing him was obviously better once he was unable to trade him that year. If he truly wanted to re-sign him, I'm sure he would have done it before the trade deadline. Regarding the value of expiring contracts, one pretty small contract (I think it was around $4.5 mil) alone is not going to have much value; it will clear up very little salary room. What's the reach?

I saw an article yesterday citing a rumor that the Knicks would trade Penny back to his home town with Ariza for Gasol, Bonzi and the #19 pick. That would be unbelievable.
