Larrea might be the new Dadiet. Joku was a 2nd rounder. If Larrea demands the contract, we have to give it to him. Rookie scale is guaranteed unless he voluntarily stays in Spain.
You know I gonna spin wit it

Looking him up. If he was MVP material he may be ready to contribute

Looks like a Shamet replacement, what do you think?

NO - Knicks will sign Shamet.

It's Mitch I wonder about -- IF he wants big deal.

This kid is a lottery ticket you stash and save $3.2M under the 2nd apron.

Wonder if we could somehow get our hands on E Missi using Deuce/other assets and let Mitch walk.

I want Shamet back so I'd like you to be right

Cleveland did us a favor.

We’ll get a good pick at 31. Evans, Thomas or Veesar. I’d go guard again. Hope we keep Mitch but if we can’t at least the big mermaid can hit free throws and Knicks have had luck deep in the second w bigs.

Austin Reeves just popped into my mind --- maybe not the +25PPG guy right now with Lakers but young Reeves.

One of those three should be a coup at 31. Nice

Joker was ALWAYS clunky as hell with the way he moved and his left handed shot -- this kid is smooth and clearly much better passer.

Meleek Thomas SG – Arkansas – HT: 6-4 – WT: 199 – WING: 6-6 3/4 – Fr – A silky smooth scoring guard who doesn’t have elite size but has a great feel for the game and a high skill level. Will have to add strength but you can’t teach his level of shooting touch.
PLAYER COMP: a more well-rounded Cam Thomas

Henry Veesaar C – North Carolina (Estonia) – HT: 7-0 1/4 – WT: 227 – WING: 7-2 – Jr– A glue-guy center who does all the dirty work, rebounds, defends well and can also step out and hit the outside shot. A high energy player who seems to be everywhere on the court.
PLAYER COMP: Chris Anderson++

Isaiah Evans SF – Duke – 6-6 1/2 – WT: 186 – WING: 6-8 3/4 – So – Evans has great shooting touch and a shot that is nearly impossible to block thanks to his length and size. He’s skinny and needs to continue to bulk up and so he could take some time before being NBA ready.
PLAYER COMP: Jett Howard

Carr SG – Baylor – HT: 6-5 1/2 – WT: 184 – WING: 7-0 3/4 – So – A long, lanky guard with a picture-perfect jumper and great above the rim ability. Needs to add strength and develop his frame but finally had his breakout season this year and is a first round lock. One of the best pure shooters in the draft class.

PLAYER COMP: Jaylon Tyson+, Devin Vassell

What folks seem to miss is the Knicks and all their front office + scouts knew C Carr was there and they passed on him without a flinch.

From the beginning this front office (talking for years now) has had a plan and stuck to it. I couldn't be more comfortable with Leon/Wes/Brock/Brown deciding on a direction and following their guts.

Not losing sleep over anyone a the back of this 1st round --- maybe 1st pick in 2nd we get a steal.

Yes, Jokubaitis was a change of pace and direction ball handler, not like Brunson, but as a distributor, and it didn't look smooth in general

Hearing Knicks traded Sergio to the Mavs for multiple 2nds and #30. Then traded #30 Peat for more 2nds.

Knick seem to have gotten 4-5 2nds out of the 2 trades.

Guy looks like a legit first round prospect from the scouting reports, vids and even projections (supposedly CLE had their eyes on him).

Savvy move if he is stashed and we do run it back somehow (hope that everyone that has to takes the pay cut to keep the champs together.

Hopefully we can get him here for Summer League so we have something to watch for a few nights in July.

I don’t want to stash him though. We have the shortest pg situation in nba probably

Also I wonder if Knicks simply got some assurance from lakers on who they would or would not pick and swapped just for the smaller salary. I can’t imagine lakers would want Sergio w all their needs

Also I don’t want college hoops so can’t comment but one has to wonder what the hell was Carr doing there. Read his profile etc he should have been late lottery. Something must be up

I don't know the rules on the above BUT did read last week (I think Jake Fischer) that Larrea has let teams know he is ok staying in Europe this year. Also thought I read he is a CAA client (not sure if true) or if that would allow us more info on his situation.

Would assume he's a lock to stay in Europe and develop while we save $3M

Not a joke. It's showing Knicks traded pick to Mavs on NBA.COM
