I don't watch the Nets so I did not know it was this bad for Harden.

Thanks for posting this. I don't bother to follow the Nets.
Wow, and I thought the 19 FT game was going to turn his season back to the normal flopping march to the foul line.

Give me a minute, I need to go cry.

The hammy gets healed by rest. Harden is not in Harden shape. Maybe that injury happend because he was not in tip top shape last year either.
Last year after the bubble after a short off season, its was weird.
Knicks team, chemistry, thibs, randle, etc all came together. Much of the league was chaotic. Freaking toronto played the season in Tampa and it was determined on the fly.
I don’t watch Nets.
Story last year and this is Durant still a great player after his injury. He sat out a full season. Heard someone on radio say “Its the nets 3rd season with Durant and they have nothing to show for it”. well Durant did not play one of them. This is someone who should know better and it was a typical media entertainment thing to rile up folks. He got paid $35mill to heal. Thats impressive!
Kyrie does not last a full season like ever.
I would not be dancing on nets grave quite yet. Long season to go and Kyrie likely returns. Harden should not be going 100% but keep playing at an easy level until he gets in shape. If you ever had a hamstring injury you understand and these guys get daily treatment by world class therapist.
So far parity seems to be taking the league. Miami is back doing its thing while Nets and MIlwaukee seem to yet take its form.
Dallas is demonstrating they too are middle of the pack team either with or without KP. Phil called it, the lack of lower body mass (no ass) would haunt him. Missing games this early in the season?
Pacers roster and Carlisle cannot be discounted. Vs. knicks was winnable but they are not a bad team.
Fucking Wizards? really?
ATL is still a top 4 team in the east and I expect them to be steady. Maybe Trae with the new rules has to adjust and maybe he is not Playoff Trae but the team is deep and create tough matchups.
I think many were asleep on Billy Donovan being an really good coach as to any suprise bulls are good. Not great, but middle of the pack good.
Charlotte is in here too. Not just Lamelo, but haywoond, Miles Bridges, PJ washington, another Plumlee and Borrego got that Pop gene and working it. Good coach.
I suppose we done with willie Hernangomez regrets? We good?

THis thread is about other things than Knicks. KP is another thing!
The aggregate of Phils tenure speaks for itself. Frankie is in season 5 of his NBA career. It is what it is.

Hey! Melo's still balling out! Too early for legacy talk!
Mr. Silver may have deemed it high time for Melo to get a ring with this LeGeriatric crew!
Then he signs a contract with us next year and retires a Knick! Wait! Too early to talk about retiring! Just ask DRose!
Everyone will be going full Brady on us!

I completely forgot about the ABA! Need to look up what's going on at the Nassau Coliseum!

Tyler Herro has been a flamethrower and 6moy early front runner.

Last night he was -32 while the Heat got outscored 33-9 in the 2nd qtr.

The Heat have looked like an elite team. Every night you go up against guys who can get hot and take over games and sometimes teams just go cold and its tough to bounce back.

82 games tells you alot!

I don't understand what he's doing here- I thought at first he'd re-injured his hamstring on the play, but it seems he's throwing some sort of tantrum/sulk or something instead? The whole things even worse:

I think I might have found the reason for that weird play. Him getting called for an offensive foul here is just amazing. Why is he still trying these non basketball actions. He just refuses to play real basketball. What is happening to Harden is what I thought would happen to Trae Young.

Just pathetic! As much I find KD and Kyrie's personalities off-putting, at least they are enjoyable/impressive to watch play. Harden is equally as aloof, but I can't stand watching him play with all this BS

LOL, I have not watched a minute of Nets but level of aloofness on an MVP is tought. Harden is not known to be lazy or aloof. Its weird. Fatigue does stupid things to even the best players. That he came in out of shape due to the injury could be it.

I never understood this as much until I started playing Singles tennis post my basketball days and making bad decisions at bad times. Pro players melt down in grand slam events is incredible to behold.

Harden knew the ball was over and back and looked like he thought the ball was going out of bounds. Nash should have taken him out and labled it “Fatigue” rather than a punishment to him. The fouls he is not getting will take some time to adjust. That was very apparent an something he has gotten away with for years.

Net haters are loving this!!!! New NYC mayor not changing mandates yet. Covid might be an “endemic” in a few months and perhaps he gets back on the court if not vax’d.

Would bring him in for a look. Provides size as a combo-forward and shoots the three. I'm sure he brings more to the table than Wayne Selden.

No thanks!

Comes with controversy

You may have seen some negative reaction to the Dekker signing on Twitter from fans and if you’re confused about why, know that it has nothing to do with his basketball abilities.

No, the reason why Dekker is likely to draw a lot of ire is because before his departure from the NBA, he got himself into some hot water with some controversial statements about “white pride” and possibly being a supporter of Donald Trump.

Back in 2018, Dekker tweeted in response to his former Wisconsin teammate Bronson Koenig sharing an article titled “White People Have No Culture,” taking issue with the idea.

“Don’t put it in my face that being a white guy is something I’m supposed to be ashamed of,” Dekker said in his since-deleted tweet to Koenig. “I’m proud of who I am and so should you. But youre [sic] Native American and also white BK. This article speaks very many untruths about most of our ‘culture’ that we supposedly don’t have…”

Dekker faced a lot of backlash for that reply, forcing him to delete the tweet, and it wouldn’t be the only time he came under fire, either.

In October, 2020, a clip of a J.R. Smith appearance on the “All Things Covered” podcast went viral with Smith saying Dekker, his former Cavaliers teammate, was the only teammate he never got along with, because one day Dekker was “talking some Trump [expletive].”

In the aftermath of that podcast episode, Olivia Harlan, a sportscaster and Dekker’s wife, defended her husband, saying Dekker isn’t a racist or a Trump supporter.

Regardless of how you view Dekker, from a Raptors perspective, taking him on is sure to bring some extra baggage and some uncomfortable lines of questioning heading his way that the team probably doesn’t want to deal with.

The Raptors are an organization that recently have prided themselves on being more socially conscious and aware, and even if the homework they did on Dekker came out with his character looking clean as a whistle, it’s a little confusing as to why the Raptors would want to bring in a player with this kind of controversy that’s followed him, threatening their pristine woke image.
