. . . and GS soars to 8-0. Last year, Lee went down in the preseason, Ezeli was injured, GS leaned on Speights. This year, Jason Thompson hasn't gotten off the bench because: Ezeli and (some) Bogut. So far, Green looks like the second most important guy instead of Thompson but Thompson hasn't devolved at all, Green's just better, Livingston's better, Ezeli's better . . . and they are a slightly better team than they were last year. If they stay healthy . . . I'd say the odds are better than his 3pt. average that Curry has "70 Wins" written on his locker.

Injuries play a part of that. Rondo since surgery has not been the same. when you have Rudy, Boogie and Rondo as your core its gonna be problematic. Rookie dumbass owner (Fired three coach's and two GM's already)don't help.
Karl is not the greatest but he has a whole lot of wins on his resume and understands the game. He was thru tough rebuild teams that contended in Milwaukee, Seattle and Denver.

Rondo is a big problem. Dude can't shoot, can't hit FT's and is a turnover machine. That's when he is on the court. He is also toxic.

They have talent.

I see Bargnani is having the full Bargnani effect on the Nets. They are in such a hole- their draft picks are unprotected and go to other teams for the next 2 or 3 years I think.

I'm not sure they have much talent outside of WCS, Cousins and Collinson (who they should have kept as their primary PG instead of wasting time on Rondo). Koufos and Belinelli are nice enough role players. In the east they could probably be in with a shot for the 8th spot at best- in the west they are doomed. Maybe if they could transform Rudy Gay into a better SF they would be in with a chance.

Really they need to move Cousins though- I like him a lot but I think their relationship is broken beyond repair. Maybe Lakers would be willing to trade Randle and Russell (plus Williams or Young for salary match) for him
