Is that done? I read 2 yrs 6 mil guaranteed with incentives to bump the first year up to 12 mil and the second year as a team option.

Let's say he's signing the contract right now, ink has dried......as soon as he gets up from his seat he falls down to the floor because his knees completely disintegrate....

Cavs offering Bynum 2yrs $24mil $6mil guaranteed on the 1rst yr and Team Option on the second yr>>>>>>>>>>>Knicks offer Amar'e 5yrs $100mil with no insurance

Cavs have a better gm then the Knicks did.

Walsh wasn't as good as he should have been but keeping it 100% RIGHTEOUS our problems lie with our owner the one who CTCs. Owners CTCs. Therefore I'd say Dan Gilbert is a better owner than Dolan, currently that is...

WITH BYNUM ONLY TAKING $6MIL GUARANTEED NEXT 2YRS WHILE AMAR'E TAKES $45MIL GUARANTEED NEXT 2YRS ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK

Now come one, that's not fair. Amare had played 82, 79, 53, and 82 games the previous four seasons before coming to NY. Bynum played 65, 54, 60, and 0 games the past four seasons. Bynum has also never had the type of seasons, offensively, that Amare has had in the past and Bynum also has a history of moodiness.

When Phx Doctors Speak...All Teams In The NBA better listen. My problem is the lack of insurance and fully guarantee money. I can look past yrs and total dollar amount, but Amar'e's contract should have come with TO, bonuses, insurance, etc etc. Any smart owner with a competent GM would have done so.

The league wanted Dolan to hire Walsh or another sage like gm. Not sure that Dolan pays enough attention to intervene when his gm is making mistakes.

Sorry every owner should be counting his pennies but instead Dolan rather tour with the Eagles and be oblivious to things going on in his own company

that is ....until a Star lust he wants to be traded here, and/or an employee catches a case, and/or a coach makes phone calls to teams on trades, and/or when a free agent goes and signs a Poison Pill contract, that's when it seems like his antennas are up on the financial landscape.

Nuggets did not have a disaster off-season....

They have Jordan Hamilton/Evan Fournier/Chandler/Gallo who are interchangeable

They brought in a rookie Eric Green....J.J. Hickson and Darell Arthur. There's no need to overpay players if you don't have to.

Didn't they lose their genius GM, genius coach, and best all around player though?

They replaced their coach with a hot new comer(assistant at Indy) Shaw, who spanked us in the second round of the playoffs.

Kroenke and Masai are almost one in the same.

Iggy probably was their best all around player(half a season) but I'm not sure if I would have been comfortable shelling out 4yrs $50+mil to him to stay.

There's a chance Brewer leaves S&T to Minny

Shaw is a 1st time head coach, so basically an unknown quantity at this point.

Kroenke looks to be losing talent than gaining or adding contracts, so that's a loss.

Iggy just went to the team that knocked them out of the playoffs, so that's a double whammy.

I would say Denver's offseason is a little less than disastrous once you see what the Clippers, Golden State, San An, and Houston have done all around them.

Denver's Probably downgraded to the 6th or 7th seed out West.

Iggy went to a team that lost Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry both of whom probably played better than Iggy that series.

I do not expect Denver to win 50 something games this year regardless if they kept their roster in tact or not. I do think they'll be a Top 4-5 team in the West.

Have you seen what teams have done around us?

Heat Champs

Indy Better

Bulls Better(just via Rose comeback alone)

Brooklyn Better

All the real bad teams Better(which means no easy wins next year). I don't care about the Nuggets in relation to us this off-season. Standing alone I don't think the Nuggets have that bad and if so they can recover quickly .....meanwhile our future looks bleaker than ever with every move we make.

How is our future getting bleaker with ever move? Nearly everyone comes off the books in 2015. Only thing that hurts us is the 2016 pick. You're viewpoint is not based in reality, not sure why you seem to want to believe that we're doomed.

Ever anxious to see what he signed for....Well that's Kaman, Farmar, Nick Young.... going to L.A. after the Dwight fall out. So either they went there because it's L.A., or they went there to play with Kobe, or they went there for both.

The Nets signed Andrei Kirilenko to MLE. I don't understand how The heat and nets get all these good players cheap and we never do. The best we got last year was Kidd and Camby.

The Nets signed Andrei Kirilenko to a one-year, $3.1 million contract, according to Peter Vescey.

Nets beat writer Stefan Bondy also confirmed the shocking news. Kirilenko opted out of a $10.2 million salary for 2013-14 in search of a multiyear deal, but the market for him dried up after the Timberwolves wouldn't agree to sign-and-trades with OKC and the Spurs. Kirilenko is a huge get for a Nets team that was seriously lacking depth after they traded for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. He'll likely be Pierce's primary backup but could still see 20 to 25 minutes a night.

Yikes!

To be fair, we got JR 2 seasons ago for cheap, and he resigned last year for cheap. And we got K-mart for cheap last season too. And we could have got Birdman and Matt Barnes for the minimum last season (both wanted to play for us last season)

Yeah looks like Vescey has been on his game this off-season...he's broken a couple major signings

After this season if it's mediocre as in we win like 40 something gms and get bounced first round I want Grunny and Woody fired. This is simply ridiculous.

Once again though MP say what you want about him when he said he wants to win a championship in 3yrs, he's backing it up with the checkbook and moves his GM is making. Brooklyn came here and immediately got to work. Now this doesn't mean they will reap the rich reward from all their work, but they have certainly backed up their expectations, without question.

I don't like the nets/Boston trade one bit- it's everything we fans have hated in the past (giving up picks and your future for a starphuck, with players who are past it) after this season the Nets are screwed for years, but I do like this AK47 signing for them. I'd start him and have Pierce come off the bench for 20 to 30mins.

Still, I don't see them as contenders. Pierce looked past it last season, and KG is about to decline. Factor in injuries, and I think there's a lot of uncertainty.

Big difference Nets got players to come there in back-to-back seasons for super cheap..multiple players.... let's start listing them

Bogans
Childress
Evans
Watson
StackHouse
Blatche
Donte Greene(until he broke his ankle I believe)
AK47
Shaun Livingston
Damion James

No waivers, no buyouts, no ridiculous multi-yr deals.....all straight up free agents cheap deals. So maybe players do want to play in New York but do they want to play for the Knicks?

Which of those players would you actually want on a multi year deal though?!

Blanche was amnestied, so he still has money coming in from the Wizards. AK47 got the full mini MLE, so those two don't really count. Livingston is a one year deal. Most of the rest of that list are awful and deserve only the vet minimum.

Once again Big difference...let's look at their youth

Shengalia 22yrs old
Plumlee 23 yrs old
Taylor 23 yrs old
Lopez 25 yrs old
Joseph 25yrs old
Damion James 26 yrs old
Shaun Livingston 28yrs old(older but not a ton of NBA mileage because of major injury)
Teletovic 28 yrs old(older but low NBA experience with skill)

I've heard Lighty or Benson might make the team both 24/25yrs old respectively

Now how much more youth do they need to add to their team? These guys aren't bad players either. Now list all of our young talent?

Ronnie Turiaf will sign a two-year, $3.2 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, his agent Mark Bartelstein told RealGM. The deal has no options for either party.

Turiaf will bolster a frontcourt that was formidable when healthy, and he comes to the Timberwolves after averaging 1.9 points and 2.3 rebounds for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Turiaf had also been in talks to return to the Clippers, but he had several potential suitors all along.

Turiaf, 30, has averaged 4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and over one block in his eight-year NBA career.

WOW Turiaf got 2 yrs guaranteed? So he signs a vet min deal. He was oft injured here wasn't all that impressed with him and wasn't expecting us to pursue him but there are quality vets continually signing for cheap deals.

I wonder if Dolan has put the kibosh on spending. It was rumored we want to split our VME

I don't see bringing him back. Nelson said he was a great locker room guy. He is a vet and that might be a need for Minny.
