Woodson eluded to JR missing a golden opportunity to sweep and blow-by on the baseline but instead, JR checked the clock and gave Westbrook time to squat and press-up on Smith. But with that said, Smith needed to have to the ball in hands as he carried the Knicks all night. Not to mention, Smith got a really good look at the basket off of what appeared to be a pin-down screen which nobody wants to give Woodson credit for....

Whoa. I thought you were better than that.

Gameday Guns always post in extremes. It's a bore.

Melo should just sit out the rest of the season right?

preferably he comes back and just blends in with Amare. Can't fault him though if Woodson doesn't start Amare and Melo is forced to go 1 on 5 cos no one else can score

So do I. I cuss them out on the game threads something fierce. But I honestly though everyone would be pretty pleased with the effort. I've been on Woody lately but I didn't see anything egregious from him tonight.

Woodson's lineups leads to Melo 1 on 5. It's not even Melo's fault. Rather have Melo shooting than James White, Shumpert, Felton

Melo would benefit greatly from a coach like Popovich

I think STAT is going to end up starting. There's no reason not to. He's playing well out of the post. Melo can go back to the 3. At least try it.

Hahn suggested on radio Melo prefers the 4. You have to read between the lines with Hahn because he is a MSG employee but he's in on things that fans and the rest of the media are not

It's Melo fault at times but I do think the line up should be the best players and have Shump come off the bench but SHump is shooting better but decision making and defense is hurting. I just hope Martin doesn't get lost on the bench. He needs to play and maybe a key to Woody staying small and big at the same time.

Martin was fantastic tonight. Really glad we have him. And I disagree on Shump. His D has been really good for about a week now.

Shump doesn't hurt us. He attempts 4shots a game. He'd hurt us less if Amare was starting with Melo making us more dynamic offensively. Melo was shooting acareer high from 3 this year before the knee problems. Hopefully he can start hitting them again and help the spacing between him, amare and tyson

I doubt it. That's the first time I heard that. Usually its been he hated the 4. It doesn't matter they need to be on the floor together.

It doesn't make sense to not have Tyson, Melo and Chandler together. That was the idea out of camp. now that STATmis coming along they need to go to it.

Tyson and Chandler on the floor at the same time would help. Lately it just been one or the other. Defense Tyson would show but offense Chandler would be absent or Chandler would show on offense and Tyson would be a no show on D. Maybe the key is Tyson Chandler playing as one.

Maybe saving it for the playoffs but isn't it getting a little late? They need as much time as possible to gel. You can't just throw the 3 of them out there in the beginning of the game together game 1 of the playoffs

Now is the time. The Knicks have a ridiculous western trip coming up. They need to win games or by the time they return to NY they will be in 4th or worse. Face the Heat in the 2nd round and get bounced in another disappointing year

I think JR should've drove the ball which he had a ton of room going baseline. That would've perhaps drew Ibaka leaving STAT open for the dunk or if Durant also comes that opens up Novack. but in the end this was just too simple of a play that left few options.

Well, that last play baffles me. In that situation I can't be mad at going with the hot hand but it really didn't need to be as difficult as JR made it with that much time left. I don't know about you...but if it were my call, I'd want to get the ball to Amar'e under the basket in that situation.

But overall good effort and competitive game. It was a loss but, since I was sure I'd be watching a massacre when I turned on the game, I was pleasantly surprised. KMart would have been useful against Miami. He was impressive tonight despite fouling out.
