IMO the Knicks already proved they could win without Melo. I'm glad that he's finally pitching in on D, but really the team has a better record without him and even stat wise they play better without him. My main reason for wanting Melo was his crunchtime shot making, not his middle of the game effectiveness. He's always been a very inefficient scorer. What you hope is that he does the little things like he's doing now so the team isn't hurt by his lack of D and inefficient scoring. That's been the good thing so far is that he's really fighting hard on D now. I hope it continues.

Great; all we have to do now is either surround him with 11 other Olympians or start playing college teams!

GustavBahler wrote:Great job by the Knicks. Great coaching in particular. Great subbing, use of timeouts, and holding players accountable. I really liked how Lin choose when to attack the rim, and I'm loving that pull up of his in the paint. They're expecting him to plow into the rim and he's using that against them. He's used it at times but his shot wasn't as crisp as it looked tonite, for the most part. Liked how Melo found other ways to contribute. I think Bibby made a case for limited minutes. lets not let up against the Raps!
I think this time the Knicks will be alright. I don't get the sense that they will backslide again. Woody and the players seem to be on the same page and I think they like what's going on now. This reminds me a bit of how the team looked during Linsanity in terms of the players keeping the same intensity on D.
This kind of staying power is what we're going to need against top seeds. The great thing is that we did it with our stars and Novak not having a particularly good game offensively and the bench not only keeping us in the game but pulling us ahead.
When was the last time our "stars" had a good game?
One of the best wins this season, on the road, try to enjoy it. I know I am.

You're asking me about tonight? Wrong discussion - the topic is what Melo has won in his career. There were some good and bad things from him tonight but it's myopic to spend much time analyzing one game.

My guess is somewhere in the .500s in the regular season and .300s in the playoffs.

This is borderline trollish. I have not seen one indication that Lowey is upset the team is winning or has ever been happy when the team loses. Where's your evidence?

I believe it was Lowey that posted that the Knicks class left when D'Antoni resigned. Every post I have read of his since the coaching change has been negative and critical. Are you joking or serious in regards to your post?

Yea CAUSE MDA's SYSTEM SUCKED REALLY BAD!!! So you stop sulking.. Go Follow MDA's next team.
