It seems to me that they play free for all basketball. No set plays and there shooting stinks. Miami will beat them by 40 points if they don't get there act together.

It was clear to me when he got injured. He was the only guard that can get to the rim. He was the only play maker we have, who can also guard three positions.

So true...but when your stars shoot poor you can't win. Carmelo and Amare were horrible tonight.

I believe Monte Ellis shot even worst...Can't blame everything on just the players. Sometimes it's also the system or culture!

Bibby should start, Lin should get a shot at backup.

Also give Jerome Jordan a chance.

Jerome Jordan looked fast goign down the lane tonite. He has some speed on him.

Agreed on Jerome Jordan. Was calling for him (to get a look) in preseason. Enough of the Josh Harrelson experiment. And what was up with the lineup of Bibby, Douglas, Walker, Melo and Amare line up in the 4th?

Desperation time for Mike D. Horrible coaching tonight.

he would've came in handy in stopping Ellis from getting to the rim at ease

The Same Big 3 that got saved by a rookie PG this weekend? The same Big 3 that almost lost to the Bobcats tonight. We are making too much out of one game. A point guard fixes all are aches. Also Melo was way off tonight. That won't happen most nights.

That was not based on 1 game....I just figured this game would finally wake people up and stop over looking the real problems. We are not far from being a championship team, but first we have to be real about our weaknesses...and strengths. As a team, we have too many 1 dimensional players, which includes are star players and big free agent pickup.

You have to surround them with athletes that can get to the rim. I play with guys like that every day. They are not hard to find. The problem is simple, we over look them because they don't fit system....

No need to kill Harrellson, as both guys are very different. Jordan is a real center, fast and balanced. Harrellson is more of a PF who can defend and has great range for his size. Both can be used in a solid rotation.

shump and melo can get to the rim problem is we dont have a pg to set them up until davis steps in. I would start Lin the very next game. Can't be worse than Douglas running the team into the ground

It's just a bad game! Knicks D was pretty good at times in the 1st half. If we had any kind of offese at all we would've blown them out!!! The offense looked horrid, but that kind of thing is gonna happen this early when teams got a chance to see tape of our offense with TD running the point or NOT running the point. All they have to do is take away Melo and there's almost not flow to the Knicks offense. IMO Bibby should start, cuz he looks better than TD. Not that Bibby is great, but he's better than TD.

I did like how Jordan looked. I can't wait to see more of Lin. Lin got into the lane and made a nice little whip pass to Jordan. I just can't stand watching TD miss pass after pass. He's looking worse than any NY PG i've ever seen. Heck even Duhon wasn't this bad and I thought he was awful in his last year here. We just have to tough it out until Lin, Shump and B Diddy get going.

Got embarrassed. Offense never synched and D' went to rest in the 2nd half.

We have those players. Two are injured and Melo was off tonight. Look at the Mavs last season. Who from that roster can get to the rim or break down a defense besides Kidd and Barrea. One PG makes a big difference. Missing two playmakers is a killer but we will be fine.

It's just too early in the season to panic! It's going to be tough to overcome the poor Backcourt play but the Knicks have to keep fighting. They're going to have to do something about TD's awful PG play. My guess is they start Bibby or bring him in early if TD struggles again. Heck even Lin looked better in just his super brief moments on the floor. It's sad really. I like TD, but he's just not up to the task. They have to make a change cuz it's not fair to the rest of the team. Problem is there's no time to get Lin ready. He's just going to have to be thrust in a trial by fire.

Using the Mavs right now is a bad example. But I think it's clear they had a better mix of a solid coaching staff, and the right players. Take those players away (Barea, Butler, Chandler), and you see why they are getting blown out.

A healthy Shump and Baron will do wonders. Fields and TD should not be starting with Melo and Stat. That mix is counter productive!

Mike D'Antoni has to earn his paycheck big time and make this offense work without true PG play. Tonight he failed miserably.
