It was the 1st game and it was against a GREAT defensive team in Boston. You have to put things in perspective. No the offense doesn't look good, but it's early and very few teams look good against the Celtics D.
I don't know who we could get that would actually be a good pick up at this point. Just have to tough it out on offense and play tough D to win games until B Diddy and Shump get back. I wouldn't really have a problem with picking up Arenas to be honest. People make him into the Devil, but he's not that bad really.
Dunno on Arenas. Bibby will be too big a deficit on defense. It was a weird game. Never seen TD get a tech before. Melo exerts his will in the end but the journey had 5 TO's to lead the team. Stoudemire was a non-factor on defense once he got his 3rd foul. Nice strategy by Doc to leak Rondo out anytime the Knicks guards went into the lane. Bad team defense not to cover over and over.
Knicks rebounding was atrocious. It has to be disruptive to whoever is trying to be PG for Anthony to demand the ball immediately every time up the court. When Shump was in with the starters they built the lead. When he was in with the subs in the 3rd we were really faltering as soon as Melo left the floor. Things stabilized a bit when TD & Amar'e chip away at the lead. As soon as Melo comes back in Knicks tie on back to back 3's by TD and Melo and it's game on.
Boston didn't have Pierce but I'll take it. We didn't have a lot of guys healthy last 4 games against them. The journey is only begun.
I love how Baron is coaching the players on the side. Even getting in Melo's ear at one point and talking KG down after time had expired.
