I know that. But the rather obnoxious and somewhat jealous dialogue that I read during the thread is annoying and boring--somehow we have to justify that marcus isnt what he is showing and that balkman is the second coming--of what i dont know yet.

Read it over again. All that stuff is a reaction to the guys who get positively giddy watching Marcus make a play because in their eyes it's another opportunity to trash the Knicks.

It's not a rip on the Knicks, it's plain reality. I guess Isiah didn't like Marcus's mother or one stupid act in college did the trick! Like Yoda would say--make New Jersey better he did. According to the basketball scouts on this forum it wsa just another lucky game by MW:)

When everything these people post is the same **** over and over, and nothing else, it's "a rip on the Knicks" and nothing else.

But the real question is what is up with Marbury? How do you let a rookie basically punk you the whole game and not really go after him. Marbury grow some damn b**lls and start playing to win. Marbury was really just playing his normal game when it was clear the situation called for him to take it up another level. I think IT left him out there in the 4th to see what he would do at the end and Marbury just disappeared in the clutch. I was really disappointed in Marbury's play tonight. His stats were good, but he game was not what was needed and he can do more.

He showed one flash where he started to play with some fire in the 3rd... then he dissapeared.. but i agree i was very dissapointed. Steve smashed him to the floor when i think it was Stephs job at that point... I saw them talking **** but Stephon really diddnt back it up. Unfortunate

That's not what he said BRIGGS. If you don't see that some dudes are latching onto ANYTHING to trash the Knicks, not just Williams, then you ain't been reading the posts.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I just watched the Knicks give up 139 points and embarrass themselves--there is a lot to rip on--yet im leaving it alone[for now:)] actually i did start a positive thread on ec showing that although i dont wear rose-colored glasses, i'm fair and analytical in terms of who we are.

No see, it's not what's said so much as how it's said.

Plain reality is saying something like this, once or twice:

"Marcus Williams is playing fantastic. Looks like the Knicks passed on a future All-Star."

When you harp on it over and over and over after every good play the guy makes, and you say it like a Nets fan who despises the Knicks would say it, then it's not "plain reality" anymore.

Actually it's a way of venting my frusteration with the idiocy of Isiah Thomas. I apologize if it hurts thy feelings:( but there is always the option of skipping my absurd redundacies!
cheers!

Williams works on the nets because he'll be mentored by kidd, but here williams would have to be the mentor TO marbury, and that would get weird.

meanwhile, somewhere greg anthony bides his time till he responds to isiah's diss...

Wasn't talking about you either. You are surely full of absurd redundancies, but you don't come off as gloating at the Knicks' misfortunes either.

God, I hope not. I know this is the same guy that sucker-punched Kevin Johnson while he was wearing street clothes but I'd like to think he's a bit above things like that by now.

It's pointless to bring up Greg Anthony, he's not a true Knick. Meanwhile during the telecast it was brought up that Francis ditched the Starbury's and if tonight's game was any indication then it was a wise choice.

Nobody mentioned but it looks like we was looking at the starting 5 in Steve, Marbs, Q, Fry and Curry
craf is 6th man and Nate is out of rotation.

Troubles - 0-defense, turnovers, lazy falls, and fall trouble for Fry, Curry
The bench is not so good - it can be good only against opposition bench and junk time squads.

Good stuff - Steve, Marbs, Curry can put the numbers and play tf (occasionally)
We will probably see a lot of points scored in regular season.
How many times Knicks will score more points that opposition? I guess as meny as they will get wins

Dunno about that, I think they just had an off night. Craw was off with his shot (9 assists though!) and Lee seemed a little quieter than usual (nonetheless grabbing 9 boards in just 21 minutes). Nate didn't play either-- actually I thought we could have used his J when NJ tightened the screws on D. And of course Q will move back to the bench once Jeffries gets back. Our bench is just fine.

Nate wont be out of the rotation. Too much of a tempo changer to ignore. Malik will never start but when healthy he may get PT, possibly even at center.

I think we'll be going with a ~10 man rotation, but there will be enough injuries that everyone will see some time.
