Half way through the first quarter and OKC's up 7.

Durant: 2/3, 4 points, 4 boards, 2 assists and 1 block.
Gallo: 0/0, 0 points, 1 board and 0 everything's.

Not trying to compare Gallo to Durant, but Denver stands zero chance against OKC due to Denver not having a STAR who can compete against Durant. Because Gallo isn't the answer at SF. Miami has LeBron to compete with Durant. And Melo may not be LeBron, but Melo has ALWAYS competed against the likes of both LeBron and Durant. Gallo on the other hand? Crumbles against this type of talent. Like a cookie.

You'll see. Just continue watching. Already seen this coming (and spoke upon it) before tipoff.

Wow, your really not good at this are you?

beyond terrible and absolutely hilarious if you ask me...

what I tend to do, is stay out of the game threads, win or lose.. anyone can check.. I keep my negative feelings out of that thread so that those who want to be homers, overly positive, or whatever you call it can have their fun.. that is fine.... so I stay out...unless I am making general comments about the game..

what this guy is doing is weird... He hates to see former knicks do well, it kills him, yet he spends so much time in here making himself look bad.. as I said before and I will say it again.. If half nude, beautiful woman make you sick.. stay out of the alba thread!

can someone who watched the nugget thunder game tell me who was guarding durant? was there a main guy or was it by committee?

he was very inefficient last night-- for him. 54.2%

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

watched a good amount of the nuggets/thunder game. Here's my observations:

1) I thought the Nuggets would blow this team out the way they were playing in the 2nd quarter. The Thunder were able to come back.

2) Thunder turn the ball over way too much.

3) Maddingly inconsistent effort from the Nuggets starting unit, minus Lawson's game-winner. Granted, Gallo came back from injury, Koufus can't do much, and Iggy doesn't score much, but it's so weird. The starting unit all had a negative +/- rating. Faried will eventually need to take the next step and be more of an offensive weapon to balance the starting unit some more.

4) Ill Will did what Ill Will does. He's the perfect 6th man for their team.

5) Dre Miller, Brewer, and McGee will surprisingly good performances. Especially for Dre and McGee, who tend to get the most slack when the team loses.

6) Thunder bench didn't show up last night. Usually Martin does, but did nothing yesterday.

He does it from time to time. If he can become consistant look out. Always liked his game but his confidence wavers a bit too much. If he can stay heathy I think he could become a stud.

Great shot from Lawson but if I were a true Denver critic (learn from the best) I'd state how Westbrook flat out destroyed Lawson during the entire game. I guess a game winner changes that for Lawson. Durant is a pure fire NBA star, and flat out destroyed Gallo at the SF position. Just as I predicted. I may have been wrong about Denver as a team tonight, but I was damn right about Gallo. The guy didn't even show up tonight fellas. Almost as bad as game 7 of last years first round exit. 2/7 shooting with only 7 points? Only 2 boards? Pathetic. 0 assists, 1 steal and 1 block? Laughable. God forbid a specific Knick performed this poorly? Even during a Knicks win? Forget about it...

Denver as a team? Kept it much closer than I expected. Still can't win on the road. 13-19 road record? Weak minded road team.

Did the true critic see how Bradley Beal nearly destroyed us and the game before Wall actually did 2 very still green players? Then add in Ariza on the previous destruction and here's the kicker we dropped a game to that lottery team.

Denver is 2-1 against OKC this year and this time another former Knick got the best of them in case you weren't keeping tabs....we know how diligent you are.

Chandler and Iggy did most of the 1-on-1 matchups but he was met in the interior on some blow buys by the team. Chandler was most effective on him on his shot and Iggy on his drives.

I was wrong about Denver's team (last night that is) but it still doesn't change the fact that Gallo cracks under pressure of elite opponents/teams.

Let's be honest here, it's not about Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry, Wilson Chandler and/or Mozgov, but instead? This whole Denver love fest came from landing Melo in replace of their little Gallo. That's what it boils down.

And it's weird how fans such as TKF (and a few others around here) talk up Gallo in order to harp all over Melo 24/7, but yet, no mention of Gallo's performance last night (or lack thereof)? Nothing can top Gall's awful game 7 playoff performance in which he single handedly eliminated his Denver teammates from the postseason due to going 1/9 with only 3 points and 4 turnovers during a game 7 with the pressure on. He cracked under pressure.

But last night? Pretty damn pathetic. 2/7 shooting with only 7 points, 2 boards, 1 block, 1 steal and ZERO assists. God forbid a specific Knick put up this type of laughing stock joke of basketball production, some of these Denver Gallo lovers and or Melo/Knick critics would have a blast despite our Knicks winning a ball game.

It's funny how I can't criticize Denver as a team while harping all over the player we traded Melo for (Gallo) without specific fans becoming butt hurt, but yet, it's perfectly fine for these same fans to harp all over, knock, bash and criticize Melo (and our Knicks) 24/7/365 during each and every thread. Funny how that works on a New York Knicks forum.

Also, in regards to Wilson having a great game, good for him. Anyone who knows anything about the situation pre-trade not only knows but also understands that Wilson Chandler was gone as a Knick during free agency regardless if we would've traded for Melo or signed Melo as an up coming free agent. Wilson Chandler was gone no matter what.

Rockets won last night and there isn't the usual buzz here. It sounds like Beverly had a big night.

The biggest contribution for the Rockets might have been from guard Patrick Beverley, who scored 10 of his 13 points in the fourth, to go along with three steals.

Wizzards were 13-10 going into last night since Wall returned. In addition to beating us since Wall's return they also had W's against the following teams;

Blazers
Bulls
Clippers
Nets
Rockets

and 2 W's against the Nuggets. Yeah Nuggets are great and the Knicks suck....LOL

denver is maddingly inconsistent at times. They're able to get away with it for the most part because they can outrun other teams and also have the benefit that not all their players have an off night at the same time.

Great home team and subpar road team. They dropped a road game to the Rsptors as well. They lose to the same teams recently that we have. We have a better winning % but the Nuggets are the path to greatness.

IMHO, Denver is not a threat in the West.

if they meet in the playoffs that is going to be very interesting. at the end of the day maybe iguodala was brought in for the durant matchup and his playmaking skills. and i'm so happy that chandler is getting some quality minutes at long last. you have to be impressed with the way karl is spreading the minutes around. they should be fresh for the playoffs.

It was a hohum game. Another weird game from McHale. Lin played really well but he still benched him the whole 4th quarter. Beverley did play well though so I can't complain.
