I vote for “analytically, suck it!” Has the right NY vibe for this team

I felt so bad for him when he blew the layup. . That could haunt a player for the rest of their lives. And then he goes and does his usual non-boxout BS. I was Soo pissed off at him for not boxing out

Usually he’s fine ball hunting (not condoning it) but he was just standing there waiting for it and castle pulled “a Hart” on Hart grabbing it out of no place. I am so happy that he leaned a lesson that wasn’t lifelong painful

I cannot imagine any of this happening without him on the floor.

Jalen does legendary clutch stuff so he is irreplaceable in his own unique way, but OG is the glue that binds this team together.

I'm certain this team wouldn't be where they are now without OG. He's the difference between the Knicks being a good team and a team that can do great things.

When I look back on this team its essence to me will be defined by the presence of OG Anunoby.

With all due respect there are so many guys who have been critical which is why this team is so special.

KAT and his massive turn around
Mikal and Landry going nuclear at times plus D
Mitch for stretches
Hart for everything at different times including hitting 3 when they matter (kind of like Marcus smart)
Jose for being fearless
And yes OG who played a monster game yesterday including defending Wemby for stretches.

I hope deuce gets out of his funk and joins that list too

Just re-watch it again and again. OG is MVP. Love Brunson but the OG block and then the tip won the game. He covered for Brunson on both sides of the floor.

You know I gonna spin wit it

KAT was a +17 out there in his limited minutes, if only the refs would let him play more. Him having to come out so early really set the tone. Wemby is such an arrogant dirty player. So satisfying to wipe that smile off his face.

Alvarado showed his worth, crazy all these role players have had their moments. Not every night, but we need someone different every night. Shamet has gone 1-10 the last 2 games and DEuce was 0-4, but last night it was ALvardo who got to step up.

If they keep this attitude, I hope they win nothing. I was truly pulling for them against OKC, but then they started copying them and now they have turned themselves into a very dirty team that it’s too easy to root against.

I agree. They have stigmatized themselves by their actions. The one neanderthall who is impressed by their bully tactics is Shaq which comes as no surprise.

Wemby is an intelligent person and he's only 22 so he will grow up, but his joker-like smirk when Brunson bounced off the floor and confronted him exposed an inner quality that may be who he really is at this time.

Wemby has good reason to feel entitled, because he is. But character is shown not by how entitled you are, but by how much you show your entitlement.

Wemby is showing he thinks he can do anything he wants without consequence. The NBA has enabled this and Wemby is carrying his privilege poorly this series.

Yes and I’ll add to it his taunting of Mitch. Mitch just came out publicly about his mental illness challenges and there’s wemby taunting him up the floor. He should have been called for a tech; nba has a no taunting rule.

Super smug. Glad that he missed both FTs at critical time. Choker.

What shows the character of this team, is when Josh missed the rebound and fell down, three knicks came up to him to lift him physically and mentally, there is no blame or finger pointing in this team, they operate as a unit even if you screwup .... we ride together, we die together....

Plus clutch 3s and guarding wemby for stretches. He was 7-9 from three and waving he was wide open on that last shot too but crashed the board when Jalen let it fly

You gotta figure a whole bunch of people went to bed during when the lead went to 29 and are only just waking up to the news.

Also hit that clutch 3 at end which should have been at least plus 1 if not a flagrant — he was literally knocked into spurs bench

12 Knicks played last night!!

Somewhere, someplace Thibs is saying, “I honestly didn’t know there were that many guys on a team”

IIRC we played 3 different centers in the first 6 minutes

Total team win!!

We were like those Harry Potter ghouls (forget their name) who sucked the soul right out of the spurs

Wondering why we haven't gone to Alvarado a bit more in the series, given there's always one or two guards hounding Brunson the whole way to the half court.

They used to use hart or Mikal as a pressure valve. But if you were watching game 3 the spurs attacked those guys too. They have 3 big guards who can ply D. We were rushed in our sets.

Alvarado handled the pressure better. I won’t forget his three where the ball seemed to will its way into the basket

You Boricua?

pa que lo sepa. And Jamaican and British. I was just irrestible to the chicks when I was young. I'm a real product of NYC Love NYC and live and die with the Knicks. I grew up playing handball and stick all in the playgrounds, cycling around, exploring the subway system to learn about the City. Spent time in Museums, parks, theatres, venues, friends apartments to learn about all the parts of the city and its culture. Played in fire hydrants, tasted girls of every flavor and color, shook every hand, from the projects of the South Bronx to a middle aged man with a mortgage and a family. Love NYC and live the Knicks !

Sounds like a life very well lived so far! Kudos, fellow Boricua. I was born and raised in PR and you know we have a strong connection to NY, so once I started loving hoops, I fell in love with the Knicks! What a run we are witnessing! Definitely added to the list of great life experiences!

Cheers!

One interesting wrinkle last night. Since the spurs went up big they played a little softer on defense. They didn’t want to commit fouls and stop the clock. That let the Knicks see some shots go in and got them playing a little looser. As we clawed back they started to unravel
