This kid can play man. We really should have just sent Pacome back home to Europe for a year and have Rokas on the roster. He would look even better playing with actual NBA players too. I have also been impressed by Skappy’s improvement. I think he is ready to be a 3rd string center. I think it’s time for him to practice against NBA players now.

I think we should. This would be an asset from practically nowhere. I love McBride, but for the right backup Center, I think we can do it…

This is impressive! Maybe its the #13 on his back, but his passing skills make me think of a young Mark Jackson a bit.

Huge upside as a bona fide PG and floor general. Will make players around him better. Excited to see him develop.

Begley may have assumed on Payne's (PT) based on his T-Jones comments but him coming back and saying Kolek is the Brunson back-up (#2 PG) is obviously coming from a source and I find it interesting. I would have assumed Payne gets the nod but at the same time the one thing most of us agreed on was that we need another ball handler to break down the D and get into the paint. Kolek obviously does those 2 things well and Begley re-clarifying this quickly is an obvious indication Knicks want this made clear.

Really if you think us having solid shooters like Deuce, Donte, OG, Mikel - etc. someone like Kolek could have a field day feeding and creating. The other thing I was thinking is if Mitch was in fact moved to bench (post a center trade) - Kolek could open up the lob game for him in ways Brunson may not.

I still like the Payne addition and his scoring / shooting but this Begley stuff really seems to indicate Knicks heavily invested in a true PG off bench.

It would be great if we could improve some of our assets and Rokas turning into an actual player where his value gets better while also contributing to the team would be the dream. He showed enough on SL to get a true chance at making the team. But with our three PG rotation and Donte/McBride being the backup SGs, seems like a move would have to happen first.

I’m still thinking that the wild card is a backup center talented enough to spot start. I don’t think you get that without making someone like McBride available, but do we really move such a talented young player on a good contract?

I still hope we somehow get a talented center and find a way to turn Rokas into a real asset.
