Might have to put a hold on the ring talks. Team has a lot of issues to work through. They just finished preseason undefeated but did not look great. Still a lot of time to work out the kinks of putting a whole new team together with a new coach and system. Chemistry is still off but we will get there. Caitlin looked like her normal self again so hopefully that injury is fully healed.

The regular season starts in one day but it starts for me in 2 days Since the Fevers first game is on saturday. It also starts with a bang vs Angel Reese and the Sky. The Fever has the better team but chemistry is a mess right now due to it damn near being a whole new team. Sky vs Fever games are always amazing through.

Great story between two legends in the game. It's amazing how anyone who knew of Cheryl Miller back in the days talk about her like she was Wilt. To have a GOAT level player like Coop talk about Cheryl like this means she must have been crazy.

Feels like Charles Barkley trying to generate a rivalry with Steph Curry. No one is saying Barkley isn’t talented. But he wins nothing by trying to fight Steph Curry. The fact that we know her name is only because of her vitriol. She’s fighting a highlight reel and can’t win with raised fists.

Unfortunately for Reese there are just as many lowlight reels of her air balling shots, throwing passes into the 3rd row and bricking layups as there are highlight reels of Clark breaking ankles and hitting logo threes. Rees is living in Clarks shadow. It not for Caitlin Clark nobody would even know Reese's name

The WNBA is the worse sport when it comes to drama and that means a lot from someone who used to be an MMA fan for over a decade. This is the most toxic and racist fanbase I have ever seen. I am so disappointed in my fellow black people man. A white girl being this good has caused them to lose their minds. If I did'nt like watching her I would never watch another second of this trash league.

I never noticed this thread until just this second - seems Clean has been doing much of the commentary (kudos).

Have to admit I was an old man who for many years laughed off the WNBA even while acknowledging some of the leagues great woman players.

All of a sudden I see these Caitlin Clark stories/highlights popping up late in her junior (?) year at Iowa - I eventually tuned on a game and for whatever reason I was instantly captivated and I’ve rarely missed an opportunity watch her since.

Laughing at myself last year I recorded and watched every game and became an instant Fever fan simply because of Caitlin.

If she doesn’t play I really could care less to watch the games even though I acknowledge there are some other great / exciting players — just nobody that makes me watch like Caitlin. I do have a soft spot for Kelcie Plum and it may be that she plays with some of the same fire that Caitlin does.

It got so bad this spring I was eagerly checking out news of the WNBA free agency and the draft.

Was thrilled Fever added Bonner, Howard, Colson and my heart throb Sophie Cunningham — plus a new outstanding coach and new rookie. Love the existing core of Boston, Mitchell and Hull (such a scrapper) and think this group could challenge for title. I watch every game and my appreciation for the other great woman players in the league is growing.

Can’t believe the off-season they had surrounding Caitlin with solid defensive minded vets who will fit perfectly.

In a way Caitlin is my Tiger Woods. If Tiger is there I’m watching and if not my interest level plummets.

In terms of Angel Reese - I see a big, tough, mobile kid who is a hell of a REBOUNDER but that’s it - no skill and her distaste/ jealousy of Caitlin oozes thru the tv screen. She’d do herself a favor to just keep her head down and improve her skills —- she has no business being compared to Caitlin in any shape or fashion.

Caitlin needs to get STRONGER, work on her left hand dribbling/shooting. She needs to work on a pull-up midrange game and a floater.

I’m not exactly sure what it is but she has IT.
