I almost lost sleep over that last night.. No way should any professional athlete produce such a bad shot given they are wide open.. I would expect that shot from my wife who has never shot a basketball from that far in her life! Get it together lin!! Most Houston rocket fans are calling for this, if you ever get to read their board....on clutchfans.... Airball and all,I still take him over one arm swinging while dribbling, playing drunk felton.. The poison pill contract where the salary escalates signifigantly in the final couple of years would only be in affect for the Knicks had they matched. The contract that the Rockets have with Lin is about $8M per year for 4 years. It's up there but not as toxic as people are making it out to be. At those numbers I'd say Lin needs to be an above average started, but the expectation that he needs to be an all-star are a bit out of whack. PURE KNICKS LOVE

![]() Ouch, that airball was embarrassing- I only watched a bit of the game, but from what I saw he seems to have lost a bit of confidence since he played for us, also it doesn't help that the Rockets game plan seems to require him to give up the ball early and not get it back. When Lin killed for us, it wasn't when he was play making, it was when he started attacking the basket and looking for his own shot, he seemed to score at will.
Just out of curiosity, what do Rocket fans think of Lin- are they pleased/disappointed/angry? |

If he doesn't pan out, then in the final year, he will be a great salary dump and a very nice trade chip. Plus, Dolan shouldn't have let him walk. If he was pissed, trade him for a draft pick. Getting nothing in return for one of the biggest stories of last year was just bad business. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I would say about 75% pleased and 25% pissed. The pissed ones post a lot though but a lot of them you can see that it more than just basketball. The hatred you can see comes from the color of his skin. A lot of the posters hate McHale's coaching. A lot of them want to put the ball on Lin's hand and Harden to play off the ball like what tkf has mentioned in another thread. |

![]() Funny thing is, I had a feeling Lin was going to miss that shot badly. His shots from that spot was nowhere close to going in earlier in the game.

They are down from last season when he started for the Knicks. His stats are below people's expectations coming into this season. Well below. The only thing improved is his TO and I am going to attribute that to Harden handling the ball a lot more than Lin. |

YOU ARE not making any sense here...it is about giving the team what they need, they need harden handling the ball less and expending a lot of energy.... this has nothing to do with people's expectations of lin and stats.. why are you flying off on things that have nothing to do what we are talking about... The question is can Lin only be "Linsane" in a MDA offense? Under Woody I believe it was near the same production (lower usage average to below avg shooting but good in other categories) for Lin. I do think its way to early and Harden just got there so everyone needs time to gel. Lin is young so may be able to adapt. |

Right now, they're just tolerating him but come December, they're going to BOO him and want him out of Rockets if Linsanity doesn't return. They're still talking and dreaming about Dragic/Lowry and following those two around the league. The airball really brought the house down on him. He's going through high's and low's. This is only good for his underdog story. Rocket fans feel Lin is an inferior player to Dragic/Lowry. It isn't Lin's fault that Linsanity hasn't surfaced. At least not when Harden is acting like the team's PG. I believe, truly believe, if anyone wants to see Linsanity return, ship him out to the new Showtime Lakers. You'll see some beautiful basketball being played out there in Tinsel town instead of the boring "Pass to Harden and run off to the corner and park" strategy that Sampson has employed on him. |
