Harden and Ginobli are both stars without huge egos. That's a rare quality nowadays.

Why do you say they do not have ego's? They are just smarter than most and know that they will get starters minutes and go against teams second units. Also, harden is just now becoming a name. I would wait until his contract is up and then watch what he does. Even Ginobli struggled at being a 6th man for a while.

Watching the Spurs during this streak is a joyful experience.

Basketball the way its suppose to be played.

Its a streak, a run, and they have not been able to do it all the time but at this time, this place, this line up, these oppoinents and they are healthy its just pleasure to watch.

I hope they can go all the way and show the joy and shove it up Miami's arse!

Spurs played some of the best playoff basketball I've seen in many years, but OKC still got it down to single digits in the 4th. This is a very young team and the sky is the limit. They just need more seasoning.

Seems like Pop took MDA ball and improved upon it: Pick n roll all day + drive n kick + 3 point shooters.
Difference obviously being the preparation on the defensive end and having much better passing big men in Diaw/Duncan and being part of the best run franchise in sports.

Guess Pop could really get the most out of any squad and if he had no outside shooters he'd go with something else like when he had the twin towers in Duncan and the Admiral

They are on teams that are WINNING.

Guys are going to have issues coming off the bench for losing teams.

I agree. Pop makes better use of the talent he has than pretty much any other coach. Brings in vets who were left for dead and breathes new life into them. Have to admit when he fired Bob Hill and took over I thought it was an underhanded move at the time, but he turned out to be a hell of a coach.

What can we do to copy them? Does Woodson become our Pop? Is he even in the same class?
Can we ever copy the spurs with Dolan?

That is one tall order! The only redeeming quality Dolan has is that he isn't afraid to sign big checks.

If there is going to be a change in the way things are done at MSG I think its going to come from the bottom up so to speak instead of top down. I believe we agree that Woodson is no Popovich but he is still a very good coach. For the Knicks to be relevant again they're going to have to change the culture.

If Woodson really follows through with his "accountability" mantra and the wins start piling up and the Knicks are competitive and buying into what Woody is selling, I'm guessing Dolan will stay out of the way. But as soon as there is any turmoil or the Knicks are under performing, I could see him back to playing de facto GM again.

Like you said, the Spurs are one the best run franchises in sports, if not the best. At this point I'd just be happy with a well run organization and move from there. Its the only realistic goal I see at this point.

If the Celtics lose tonight, I'm calling sweep or 4-1 series for Miami.

2 fouls charged to him...

24 foul shots taken by him.

Miami took 47 foul shots, Boston 29.

Yup... seems normal to me.

Yup... seems normal to me.

to play devils advocate, Lebron and DWade put pressure on the defense by penetrating and forcing the opposition to foul. Other than Rondo (who took 12 himself) the Celts players don't put much pressure on the defense. They hang around the perimeter and take jumpers...

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Thunder say Lil Wayne is welcome to attend a playoff game in Oklahoma City, but needs to buy a ticket just like everyone else.

The rapper created a stir Thursday night by posting on Twitter that he was ''going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena.''

Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney says Lil Wayne's representatives did contact the team requesting tickets but insisted that he sit on the front row, and none of those seats was available. Oklahoma City sold out every home game during the regular season and playoffs this season.

Mahoney says: ''We'd love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket.''

Lil Wayne finished his tweet with ''Go Spurs!''
